No mention of track stuff as in past VOIs...auto X, road course, etc...this one going to be an all-spectate event? Polishers will be happy.
In any event, I'm all in.
Chuck - I note that you have the English on your side. Good ally to have. The last time they got seriously mad at Americans, they burned DC! Watch out, Cerberus! The Brits'll press-gang you and trade you to the French for wine!
Chuck - good luck with this. Wish your store was closer, I'd do more business! Thanks for all your assistance with my questions in the past, and for filling my parts order quickly. We VA-MD members fondly remember your visit to our Hissmas Party in 2006.
Oldest Family-Owned Dodge Dealership...
Man look at that torque curve. 450 rwtq at less than 3000 RPM! Stock! And I bet it gets better when it's got a few thousand miles on it.
Hell, these '08s can pull their own trailers to the track...
Pretty cool stuff. I knew some guys years back who drag raced slant 6 cars with good results.
I'm soon going to buy a '91 Dodge Ram 150 short bed 4x2 with a 69 383 and a 727. Nothing too special (needs paint), but it'll be a neat street beater to add to the toys. At least until my new ACR...
Low 40s is all the money (and then some) on a '04 SRT-10 at this time. The auto market is very bad right now, and higher line cars have further to fall.
The real reason for the delay:
Cerberus decided to resurrect the "Eagle" brand under Chrysler. The '08 Vipers will be the spearhead of the "new" Eagle.
The cars will be released under the name "Eagle Freedomsnake" after the first of the year.
A good cruise it was.
Sadly, since then, the steel gray GTS w/silver stripes (the non-ACR, the one without the numbers on the rear hatch) was wrecked pretty bad. Driver unhurt, although he was ambulanced to the hospital for an overnight stay. He was rear-ended during holiday traffic...
We had a cruise this past Saturday from historic Yorktown to historic Jamestown. Tom M set it up. Over a dozen participants and their nine Vipers took part. I'll see if I can get Tom to post pics.
Basically, we double-teamed Virginia that day!
Speaking of the F430, I saw one close-up at VIR last weekend. It was a Challenge version. Those front brake rotors were ginormous! Like trash can lids. And I thought SRT rotors were big...
Might have been optical illusion, but those 430 rotors looked like 17 or 18 in diameter.
