It may have been coated by Elite Motorsports in Florida. They did a lot of carbon fiber coatings on Viper plastic parts. I have even seen front inner fenders coated to look like carbon fiber.
The $1000 receipt (The items were included with the car) included a dash, glovebox door, center consol radio/shifter surround, and R/L door handle surrounds. Maybe the guy was over charged...I have no idea. All I know is the black looks so much better than gray. All I need to finish my...
I know what you mean. The whole design of the Gen1 interior is basic and cheap. Remember the Gen1 is a modern Shelby Cobra, which also had a plain and basic interior. I am content with making mine look better with the 95/96 dash, every MGW chrome piece ever made, and a few ZAF pieces (pedals...
I think a Gen1 should have a painted or leather/vinyl covered dash. Carbon fiber looks too busy in my opinion on a Gen1, but looked great in my R/T pickup.
All the parts were new in the box from Viper Parts Larry and had a receipt of $1000 (not a recent receipt either). The guy I bought the car from gave me the parts with the car. The new black parts look great, but you can tell the smooth satin black paint is on there very thin and would...
I have brand new 95/96 black dash, glovebox door, consol trim, and door surrounds in my 94 and I think they look so much better than the gray. Here is a photo of mine, but the photo is not that great.
They are definitely OEM Mopar side sills. I have had these sills sitting in my basement for over a year and never noticed the smoothed underside until I looked at them yesterday.
I have 2 new oem Gen1 side sills that are the updated ones with the insulation glued in, instead of riveted. I noticed that they are not vented on the bottom like the ones that came on my car from the factory. Does the lack of vents pose any possible heat problems? I wonder why Mopar...
You say this is a new system with the longer muffler and it is still very loud? I have had a new original ROE system (high flow cats with 15" Borla mufflers) sitting in my garage for over a year and a half and never installed it because I was worrled about the noise level. The only thing I...
Congrats. and it sounds like a nice car. But, why do people make it a big deal to post their age? I was young (still am younger) when I got mine, but who cares (defending myself from an old fart comment:smirk:).

I have access to Auto CADD programs, as well as a mini CNC machine. I was thinking about making Gen2 wheels for my 1/12 scale ANSON and JRL Viper models, but just don't have the free time.
