Gen1 side sill question

I have 2 new oem Gen1 side sills that are the updated ones with the insulation glued in, instead of riveted. I noticed that they are not vented on the bottom like the ones that came on my car from the factory. Does the lack of vents pose any possible heat problems? I wonder why Mopar eliminated the vents? Any comments or input?

That is very odd. I almost want to ask if you are sure that they are OEM but you probably already know. I don't know how they expect to hold all that heat in.

They are definitely OEM Mopar side sills. I have had these sills sitting in my basement for over a year and never noticed the smoothed underside until I looked at them yesterday.
