Anyone have any thought on this?
I noticed my third brake light was no longer working (Sneaky Pete LED). Bought a replacement (NOS), hooked it up and it worked. I noticed a couple months later it too had eventually burned out.
I want to solve this as the lights are not like the cost of just...
I have a rare low mile 96 GTS and would not trade it for anything. Was my dream car always. Not a hassle at all to own and it is almost 30 years old. You do not have to worry about maintenance. It just works. It is only going go up in value, never see another on the road, set the tone for Gen5...
Not ruining the mood at all, actually fits in perfect. My top 3 cars to own are Viper, Countach, and McLaren F1. I never plan on selling my Viper, adding on is a must!!!
@Greg114 Love that SRT10! Similar thing w me, wife gave approval and I couldn’t have moved faster to secure my Viper. R8 gated manual is also on my list as well.
@HVIPER what an awesome story. Love that you still have that 93 Viper! Would love to see it, bet it’s in amazing condition with those kind of miles and only ever being owned by you.
I wanted to share this with you.
My parents are moving and I picked up some of my childhood belongings I had been saving.
As I collected my things I came across the first poster I ever bought (Image attached). In 1997 a 10 year old me came home from school one day and asked if I could buy a...
The new Z06s are amazing machines for sure. I was thinking you would have a hard time finding the Viper you wanted in the price range, color, low miles and low mods you were looking for but hearing you bought a new z06! Next time your in the Viper market increase your price range and you’ll...
Been using Cen-Tech Deluxe on Gen II. Have it hooked up directly to battery with the connect out the inside of the back wheel well. Easy and works great.
You have to have someone set up a business account LLC for you with an address associated with it in that state. Here are the states that allow for non residents to register your car in that state:
Delaware
Indiana
Kentucky
Maine
Massachusetts
New York
North Dakota
Pennsylvania
Get an LLC with address associated with it in a different state and Register the car there that doesn’t require front license plates. I hate states w front license plate requirements.
There should be a super car exemption.
Congrats on new Viper! Welcome to the exclusive viper owner club.
It’s hard to know the extent of any damage based on the crash description above. But I am assuming no frame damage as it’s listed as minor front damage. I would definitely have it fully checked out just in case. Someone here...
I don’t have any info on this but I have always been warned against buying flood damaged cars. Problems begin to rise as time passes and is not always apparent instantly. Can be weeks, months or years but the problems become apparent.
Not sure the extent of the flooding but good luck with it!
I think the two most common and best options Viper owners go for are either the Borla cat back system or Corsa cat back system. Tons of threads in here about exhaust systems if you start searching. Another common one is straight pipes that replace the current muffler system.
I love this demo...
I think Gen 3/4 have a little steeper battle before prices go up. I think chalking up Gen 2’s prices simply to nostalgia is a bit understating as well as Gen 5 just to the notion it was the last Gen.
Most feel the Gen 2 Viper is when they got everything right. Worked out a lot of the kinks from...
All Viper owners should treat the sale of their Vipers like this owner. These are very special and unique cars. Once in a lifetime car for many many drivers.
I started researching this a few months ago as well and what I discovered was the first ‘96 GTS to come out of production only have “Viper” on the drivers side and on the passengers side have viper and one sneaky Pete. So the conclusion I came to is you can tell which vipers were the first...
