640hp but the power curve is alot broader. With the available launch control it should easily beat a gen IV. The front looks nothing like a corvette. You have to see it in person. The back is a little Aston Martin IMO. The interior is amazing; leather, seats everything. about time!!!
Re: 7 min Hi Res video of 2013 Viper GTS running on the street. Ignition sounds at 4:
It looks awesome in pictures, imagine how it looks in person!! Love the interior.
New York Chic- nice jeans (read-expensive, no levis), shoes (no sneakers), socks (not white), button down shirt or fancy v-neck (preferably with a sports jacket). Hope this helps.
I have read and heard conflicting stories regarding the start-stop feature and cylinder deactivation. Does anyone have knowledge from a credible source if our next snake will have
one, both or neither of these horrific features?
I think they took the best aspects of all the Gen's and wrapped it up in one design....if the pics look this good i cant wait to see the car in person. April 4th can't come fast enough!
niceguy, anyone 6'2" and over the seat lowering kits are a MUST. 2 inch lowering kit in both my Vipers. Tried the 1 inch in the 09 coupe thinking the doublebubble hood would be ok. It was for headroom but line of vision was at the visor. Switched to th 2 inch and it is much better.
Those sketches look similar to the Gen II. Hope the new Gen V looks more exotic and less muscle car. IMO what made the Gen II so desirable was its' combination of raw looks and power. At the time 450hp was tops. Currently you have a nissan with close to 600hp (not to mention a mustang). If the...
Having both a Gen III and Gen IV I have to agree with coloviper regarding the throttle response..wwaayyy better in Gen III. When you first start up the Gen IV and press the throttle . there is literallly a 2-3 second lag before she revs...HOPE they fixed the throttle response in the Gen V. And...
I understand withholding KEY product information but c'mon BOB, headroom. Dont think heads would role for revealing
such topic secret info. Just looking for a ,"Yes more room." or a "Yes you can lower it."...that's all. At least for us VCA Venom members who have supported Viper with mulitple...
Funny, I just posted a thread in the general discussion section re: the Gen V Viper. If there is no improvement in headroom and the seat can't be lowered then an '09 Scuderia has my name on it. Got a great price on one.
I understand the tight lips behind revealing info on the Gen V Viper but can the following questions be answered;
1. Will there be more head room for us tall folk in the Gen V? and if not then;
2. Will there be anything located under the driver seat? (ex. gateway module/radio amplifiers) so if...
