Can I change out my cam without voiding an extended warranty? What other modifications should I combine to maximize the impact of a cam upgrade?
How much did the total change cost (including installation)?
Thanks for your feedback.
Bill and Martin:
Be very cautious with using Redline in your transmissions. there is something that is in this oil that effects the fiber blocker rings in the T-56 transmissions (according to Tremac/Borg Warner). If you use this and the transmission goes on you, it will void your warranty...
Re: Stock \'96 GTS Dyno Run
Dean:
I thought the same. Is there special settings or adjustments for a Dynojet, or is my Viper hurting? I have 21,000 miles on it.
Joe:
I am interested in getting the answer to this question. I would also like to know the interval for changing out the plug wires, and which are the best fo ra Gen 2 GTS?
Thanks for the feedback.
Hans:
I just looked at the Southern cal Viper Club site and there isn't anything planned in December for the club. I know there is a driving school at Buttonwillow raceway on Monday December 18th through TrackQuest.com. I am thinking about attending this school if my helmet comes in on time...
Stock \'96 GTS Dyno Run
I just did my first dyno run on my '96 GTS with K&N and stock airbox, at R&D in Carson (CA). The nimbers that I got with fans running were 388 RWHP and 440 torque. This seems a bit low, did I (or R&D) do something wrong?
When I had my heads off for warranty work, I...

Does anyone know the answer to this question? I've always been a fan of their shocks for comfort and performance.
Thanks for your feedback.
Re: Northwind Engineering 2\" seat lowering kit
I had similar problems with their 1 inch kit. Their instructions are terrible. I had to eventually bolt the unit to the seat and adjust the floor mounts.
Another alternative is Unitrax. They seem to put out a very high quality product. I have never heard a complaint about their gears for Vipers, or their support. To me, that speaks volumes.
I'm not sure if I understand your question about buying an entire assembly? Are you referring to the...
Jay and Tony:
Forget it, I just had too many problems with the Beta version of Netscape 6. I have removed it completely from my PC. FYI, it looks like crap and doesn't work.
Ron:
Alaan is right, whatever you do don't leave your car at the dealership for storage, while the engine is out of the car. Mine sat in back of Claude Short and it came back looking like SH*T.
They wanted to send my engine back to Arrow, but I fought hard to have the work done locally. I...
James:
Based on Paolo's comments, I think that he is addressing a full racing application with the Brembo Monoblock brakes. They use these same brakes on the Oreca Le Mans cars. The Stop Tech is not designed for or targeted at this marketplace. It is targeted on people that use their Vipers...
Hi Guys:
I just upgraded to Netscape 6 and the UBB doesn't seem to want to remember me. Any suggestions on set up or am I screwed? Do I need to go back to Netscape 4.7?
By the way, even when I had Netscape 4.7, I was not able to get on the scheduled chaty that took place last week. Did the...
Hey King:
Thanks for the nice pictures. Did you find any new toys for our Vipers that we haven't heard about yet? Are there any new tuners or manufacturers that are thinking about tossing their hat into the Viper ring?
Check with a company called Random technologies. They might make them for Vipers. I have heard that there is not much gain by doing this. Save your money and spend it on something else.
Good luck.
What I meant was that the SVSi shifter is by far superior to the B&M short shifter. It is more precise and gives a more positive feel to the driver. B&M has quite a bit more dampening that gives it a soft and un-precisse feel.
Sorry if anyone misunderstood my first post. Keep up the great...
Jay:
Nice right up on your brake changes. What kind of stopping distance improvements did you get out of them? I looked at the Wilwood/Dilusi setup and was concerned about the torsional rigidity of the caliper. I also researched Baer, Brembo and Porsche big brake packages. I heard from...
James:
First of all, I must clearly state that I looked for big brake solutions for 2 years before deciding to go with Stop Tech. I can vouch for everything that Dan says about the Stop tech brake kit. I am running them on my GTS and I love them. I get:
- (dramatically)better stopping...
Re: Who has done Bobby Archer or Sean Roe\'s revalved Koni/spring Upgrade?
Paul:
As usual, thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure if I can justify putting this into my daily driver (which is why I was looking at the revalved Koni's from Archer and Roe. The JRZ/Moton or Penske's are probably...
Re: Who has done Bobby Archer or Sean Roe\'s revalved Koni/spring Upgrade?
Roy:
Sorry to ask, are you talking about Sean's kit or Bobby Archer's upgrade? What exactly did you upgrade (springs, shocks, bushings, sway bars, etc.)? Which spring stiffness and brand (Hypercoil or Eibach) did you...
