What would a good deal on a '01 ACR be?

Re: What would a good deal on a \'01 ACR be? I just bought my Sapphire w/Silver Stripes ACR in Febrary for $54K. It's not PERFECT, and very few are. It had 10K miles on the clock. A deal would be in the low low 50's, and a really nice one will be in the high 50's, perhaps low 60's with very low...

Things I learned at VIR Viperdays 2006

I just attended my first Viper Days last month at Mid-Ohio. Your write up is dead on. It will change your life! I've never had so much fun with my clothes on.

    Blank keys via eBay

I bought a couple off of ebay, worked great. It's a standard key format that Chysler/Dodge used in a number of vehicles. It's not a transponder key because it doesn't have a chip in it that needs to talk to a computer to authorize the engine to start. Vipers (at least until 2002) don't use a...

Need help with lightweight track wheels . . .

I could be wrong, but I THINK the lightest wheels, without going magnesium are the SSR Type C RS. 20 lbs. 18x11 front, 22 lbs. 18x13 rear. Not exactly stock sizes for your car...

Need help with lightweight track wheels . . .

It's not exactly what you're looking for but I have the SRT Sidewinder blems with 18" 285's and 19" 345 Pilot Sports (not runflats) mounted on them and here are their approximate weights: front - 47 lbs. each rear - 61 lbs. each I can't seem to find where Michelin lists the weight of the...

    Heat cycling tires

I believe it's only $135 for the day for about 40 drivers, so instead of 4 run groups of 10 running 15 minute sessions, I would propose 4 run groups of 10 running 30 minute sessions and you'd drive every 2 hours instead of 1. I'm still going to get 2 hours of track time regardless. I'd just...

    Heat cycling tires

Calling all track rats Got a question about heat cycling tires. I've got a set of Michelin PS tires that I've got about 8 on track heat cycles on over 2 days (30 min. sessions). I'm considering a track event and the track time will be in 15 min. sessions. For a 2 mile course that seems pretty...

    I can't believe I purchased a 94' RT/10!

Re: I can\'t believe I purchased a 94\' RT/10! Congrats Klamathpro. You don't NEED to join the MCVO chapter of VCA for tips and assistance but it's well worth it, I joined in March. The fee is prorated for the year so it should only be around $50. Oh an yes I'm local, but out in Brighton. Don't...

Sneak Peak at Redenuff93's Diamondback Viper

Re: Sneak Peak at Redenuff93\'s Diamondback Viper I'm not even a fan of the RT since the GTS came out but I'd be damn proud to own that one. It looks positively outrageous without being cheesy, tacky or rice inspired like many that go the aftermarket route. Best looking RT EVER! You could EAT...

Upgraded from 18 to 19" rear wheels - How do I recalibrate everything?

Re: Upgraded from 18 to 19 Thanks for all the input guys. I've got a Tom Tom GPS so it will be easy to calibrate once I decide I want to spend money, I just wasn't sure if the hardware was available to do it. Batboy, Parts Rack and Archer Racing both have the wheels. Here are pictures of...

Upgraded from 18 to 19" rear wheels - How do I recalibrate everything?

Re: Upgraded from 18 to 19 Thanks Bill, I'll give it a try. If I take my 5% correction and apply it to my 3.07 gear ratio I think a calibration unit that that could simulate a 3.22 gear ratio would probably get it pretty accurate, but that's just a half-educated guess.

Upgraded from 18 to 19" rear wheels - How do I recalibrate everything?

Re: Upgraded from 18 to 19 Thanks Brap I agree of course. They clean up incredibly easy, after 4 hours of tracking the car over 2 days, I took them off to put on my stock BBS wheels and I had all 4 wheels 95% cleaned up inside and out in about 15 min. with detailing spray and a few microfiber...

Upgraded from 18 to 19" rear wheels - How do I recalibrate everything?

Re: Upgraded from 18 to 19\" rear wheels - How do I recalibrate everything? A few pics for those interested in the wheels. There are few vendors out there selling them. They are the refurbished Sidewinder wheels that are normally polished, but because of blemishes they painted them silver. You...

Upgraded from 18 to 19" rear wheels - How do I recalibrate everything?

Upgraded from 18 to 19\" rear wheels - How do I recalibrate everything? I've done some searching but all I can find are references to gearing changes, not wheel size. I bought a second set of wheels for my ACR, (Silver painted SRT Sidewinders) upgrading from 18 to 19" wheels in the rear. (Btw...

    Is 30,000miles high for a '01?

Re: Is 30,000miles high for a \'01? Bill is correct, they didn't produce a Sapphire with stripes and Connelly leather. You'll have to settle for vinyl aftermarket stripes. No biggie. You can look here for build info: Build Info

    Two thumbs up for HelmetCity.com

Just wanted to relay a great experience I had with HelmetCity.com. They didn't have the helmet I wanted in my size but they immediately notified me and they gave me a great deal and VCA discount on a similar helmet, and because I needed it before the weekend to use it for Viper Days at Mid-Ohio...

    Attention ACR guys, leaky shock?

Thanks AZTVR I'm prepping for a 200 mile drive and Viper Days at Mid-Ohio and was just checking everything over to avoid what you described. I'm also considering the spring swap as it just feels really bouncy, but no clunking so far. Any recommendations as to a part number or where to get the...

    Attention ACR guys, leaky shock?

I've done a fair amount of research on the Dynamic shocks that are stock on the mid-2000 and above ACRs. It's been mentioned that they can leak or they will leak, it's just a matter of time, and that they may require a rebuild. I don't think I've found pictures of the leakage and I was wondering...

    Car washing Woes

They also swing OUT toward the front of the car as well. I'm not sure which drains better, but I also use the leaf blower method. Direct the blower at the mirrors, hood vents, and around the rear glass (if a GTS) first which is where most of the stray water seems to hide. If you have a good wax...

BBS ACR wheel center cap fell out

If they're anything like my Mustang Cobra wheels you can only access them from the back side of the wheels so I doubt anyone stole it unless they smashed it with a hammer, and then what's the point. Chuck, thanks for the bad news in advance. I was pretty sure it was at least $50.
