    Anytime you sell a Viper there is regret, and years from now I suspect the GTS will be the most revered Viper based design. I have had multiples of each Gen. I am probably in the minority but like Gen 3 as much as 4. You will not regret getting either. Not sure why folks think tall guys can't...

    I would not let go of the Gen 1 unless you have to. For what you will get for it it won't be worth the fun of keeping it (and it may be worth more later) I have had 2 Gen3s and 2 Gen4s--I guess I am in the minority, but there ain't a lot of difference IMO, and some things I liked about my 05...

    Us old timers can remember back in the early Viper days folks routinely had kits they used to make Vettes look like Vipers. As I often said I never saw anyone take a Viper and try to make it a Vette.

    Congrats and gorgeous. And it does look better in person. I have had folks say it is the best looking of the 7 Vipers I have owned. Close call, IMO, but it is neat looking.

    I am shocked that there appear to be FEs on dealer lots. I think Tomball has 2 or 3 and there was one on ebay. I would think with just 32 staying in the US they would all be sold.

    06 or 08

    I had an 06 and 09 and now a 10. IMO, heresy to some, I thought the 06 was the best driving car of the 3. The 10 seems the most powerful, especially with the changed 5th gear. I frankly think the shifting is "clunkier" in Gen 4s and if you are not used to it, you can stall a Gen 4 fairly easily...

    What were the paint issues? Mine looks ok, but I do have a hard time getting the top polished as I would like. The last good Viper paint job goes back to Gen 2 unfortunately
