Not just Vipers--your family cars etc. Having done legal work for tire companies, I have found one of the most dangerous things you can do is ignor pressure.
I can't tell you how many times i have looked over at a car at a light and noticed the tires are almost flat.
What really amazes me...
I tend to buy American and it is amazing to me (having lived through the late 70s and 80s) what American car companies can do when there is competition and I link a lot of it back to 89 when the Viper was being created.
My GT arrived today--one of the last ones built with few miles. Here are...
Chad, thanks for the kind words--you might get an argument from my wife (BTW, I like the new avatar)
I will be giving up one Viper--my 06. By design I limit myself to 3 sports cars with my garage. I would be dangerous with a storage facility. (a couple of fun daily drivers stay outside)
The...
Heretofore, my only blue oval has been my F-150. In my never ending flirt with divorce today I made a deal on an 06 Ford GT (white/blue--like my old 05 Comm Ed)
Hopefully, next week I will have pics. Funny-- back when I looked at GTs in 05 I was struck by the HP. Now my CTS-V has more HP--how...
I had the steel ramps that come with it and never had a problem with any of 3 Vipers clearing it. I just changed to the longer aluminum mostly because of weight--they are really expensive.
He has so many cars, (planes and coptors) I don't know how he keeps up. Originality meant a lot less to him than us. I suspect it was in the way.
The guy he sold it to is an "engine collector" . I could write a book about him. The whole story is utterly fascinating (maybe only to us...
Thanks for the responses, and White Out I like that table. I will try to answer
--yes, I knew a replacement motor was in the car and was not surprised since most of the very early ones were bad.
--before buying the car, i spoke to a lot of "experts" including well known car mags execs...
On price--rather not say. I can say there were months of negotiation, with others helping including the Editor of a popular Car Mag. When the seller knows he has a matching number, one of a kind engine, and the buyer has the car it was built with it does not help the buyer's leverage.
On...
Almost a year ago I purchased VIN 00002 from Bob Lutz. He told me at the time that shortly after the car was built in 92 , like many early Vipers, it has excessive oil consumption . Being that he was President of the company, Team Viper simply took his car back to the factory and replaced the...
7 Vipers and the best dealer I have dealt with. Cut out the middleman BS. Don't mess with salesmen--deal with the owner directly who has total control over the deal. Call John--owner.
