I believe Mark Jorgenson/Woodhouse may have developed a workaround for this. Maybe he can chime in again but I believe one possible solution was relocating the airbag module.

I have no experience with the R6 but for track/HPDE events of 4-6 sessions of 15-20 mins each with about a 15-20 min cool down in between, Mark Jorgensen recommended 33 psi cold all around on my 2008 with Michelin PS2 tires. This resulted in hot temps ranging from 38-41 psi and the car felt...
I have the one inch Northwind for both driver and passenger seats in my 08. The one inch Northwind kit works but still may present some long-term risks in terms of rubbing on the airbag module located under the driver seat. The two inch lowering kit will not work.
If I may ask, who are the 2...
Mark -- just to clarify: your previous post suggests that even more hp is lost because of the accessories? Just curious, if I am trying to figure out how much hp I actually have at the engine's flywheel, isn't that with the parasitic effect of the accessories? Again, thanks for educating a...
Guys, especially Ken, Mark and Pteam --
Thanks for the great information. Just one question, what does the 10 hp fudge factor in Ken's hp equation represent?
I have always just taken rwhp (or rear wheel torque) multiplied by 100 then divided by 88 or 85 (12 or 15% correction factor) to...
Thanks Mark. I will bring this up with Tom Wong when I see him in a few days for the post-Belanger dyno. In order to capture the "delta" or change in performance, however, my assumption is that we will want to run the dyno the same way it was run for the baseline to avoid any variables in the...
Pteam --
Thanks for the response. Here is my dyno graph:
So I know the dyno is a Mustang dyno. I also thought that all Mustangs were, by definition, load bearing dynos. But I share your observation that my numbers--especially for a Mustang--seem quite high compared to numbers from other...
Yes, the stereo amp under the passenger seat and the airbag control module under the driver seat in the 2008s (this is new for 2008) barely fit the 1'' kit and the 2'' kit will not work.

Thanks for posting this.
When I did an inital Mustang baseline run on my 08, I had the following data:
529 rwhp
505 rear wheel torque
At: 70 deg F, 29.9 inches Hg and humidity of 34.27%
Can I convert the pressure or humidity figures into vapor pressure (the last required field in the dyno...
I've researched the weight saving issue and frankly the OEM ACR/Copperhead/Sidewinder rims are hard to beat at 17.5 lbs front and 25 lbs rear (rims only w/out any hardware like center caps or lugs). Wheels that have come close are the SSRs (in 18'' only front and rear) and some of the...
Here's the baseline dyno run on my 2008 on a Mustang Dyno. The driveline was totally stock and the only addition to the car that might create some variability was the addition of lighter weight Sidewinder wheels. The numbers were 529 rwhp and 505 rw torque at about 70 degrees:

Various magazines have tested the top speed of the ACR at about 177-180 mph. The reason for the lower top speed compared to the coupe and roadster (202 mph) is the aero components on the ACR which create fantastic downforce; the downside is increased drag.

I contacted a fellow named Ron Batt (sp?) a few years ago about doing some custom paint work. I don't know how they do the custom paint, whether the car is painted from the factory or whether it goes to Prefix as a "white body" car.
Here is the prefix website: Prefix Corporation - 1 of 1...
In some of the initial press information I believe I saw a GTS blue ACR test mule complete with the old 10-spoke wheels but as far as I know they did not make any actual GTS Blue ACRs for sale to the public. You could, however, take an ACR and have it sent to Prefix for their "1 of 1" program...
For track schools, I have had good performance starting with 33 psi cold all around in the morning before going to the track. I have checked my tire pressures a few minutes after a session and it looks like the tires are running about 39-40 psi hot.
Note that this is on a 2008 running the...
I have seen the blue colored coilovers in the Mopar catalog and I do not believe they are the same as the KWs. The general consensus is that that the Motons or the KWs offer better quality for the buck. I am not sure, however, who makes the coilovers for Mopar.
Jon B or anyone else know?

I was retorquing the bolts on my Belanger headers this past weekend. In my efforts to squeeze my hand in to turn the bolts, I managed to disconnect one of the ignition wires on the engine:
If you look at the above picture the black wires that appear to go right under the "Viper" logo on...
