I also responded on your other thread but here's some additional info: I am interested in getting another set of Sidewinder rims and mounting some dedicated rubber just for track days. I called Luke at Tire Rack who has done quite a bit of competition driving and he actually...
I've just done an autocross school on the 08 but have a series of HPDE events planned in the next few weeks at PIR here in Oregon. I plan to start with 30 psi rear and 34 psi front cold and adjust accordingly after each session.
I guess one (expensive) alternative is to buy an extra set of...
Having had a 2006 with the runflats and now an 08, other than losing runflat capability the PS2 is the better tire in terms of grip and also allowing a more compliant ride.
As I said previously, you can remedy the flat issue by buying a mobile tire fix kit from Tire Rack or another vendor.

I just clicked the link and it worked for me. If it still does not work for you go to the Tire Tack website and find the link for "Tire Tech" articles. The click the article entitled "Air Pressure for Competition Tires."

See the following link to get an idea of how to use pressures and other factors to reduce understeer:
Tire Tech Information - Air Pressure for Competition Tires
I attended an autocross school with my 08 recently and started with higher cold pressures front than rear (for example...
I had the sills covered on my 2006 and now my 2008 as well. The product is Ventureshield.
On my 2006, the material hazed a bit under the sills but in an area that was not really that visible. On my 2008, the sills seem to be a bit cooler and the hazing is really minimal with even the...

I weighed the Sidewinder rims only without caps, TPMS sensors or related hardware at 17.5 front and 25 lb rear.
Unless the car is being used solely at the track, I would consult a professional before tampering with the airbag system.

To be extra safe, I would also contact the manufacturer of your lift regarding minimum construction requirements. I bought my lift from rotary/revolution lifts and I found them to be very helpful and responsive.

I was not aware that the runflats Michelin Pilot Sport ZP (the OEM tire on your car) is no longer being produced. If you are dead set on having the runflats, call Luke at Tire Rack or Jon Brobst at Parts Rack to see if they have any sets left in inventory.
I am also aware that Michelin is...
I also saw the Viper Magazine article on the ACR and using 15w50. Question for Bill Pemberton or others in the know: If I do 3-4 HPDE events per year with a typical schedule of 4-5 runs of 15-20 minutes per run with a 15-20 minute cool down period between runs, do I need to run the 15w50 or...
Actually, if you are not hard into the throttle or wide open throttle the sound is not really that loud. The tone of the exhaust does change to a lower, more lumpy "rumble." If you shift into 5th or 6th overdrive gears, the car is almost silent at highway speeds.
If you do rev it or...
Finally had a chance to put some miles on my Belanger system. Here are sound clips/videos with about 2300 miles on the car and 700 miles on the Belanger system.
The first video was taken outside the car and the second inside while driving on the road:
