Wow, beautiful cars at this event (63 split window vette, etc). Noticed that there were one or two Ultima GTRs (the yellow car in the first picture). Out of curiosity, how did the Ultimas do at the track day? /Rich PS, love the purple Viper.- rcl4668

Installed MOPAR PCM and all I can say is WOW!!
From what the SRT engineers have posted, using octane boosters such as those that contain MMT is not recommended. The only route wouldbe to do what the previous poster did and buy unleaded 100 octane and dilute with premium pump gas. For example, here in Oregon we have 92 octane so 8 gals of...- rcl4668

Best Brake Pads for Track Days

Installed MOPAR PCM and all I can say is WOW!!
Based on previous posts, the Mopar PCM needs 93 as a minimum to see power gains and seems to like octane in the 95 range the best. /Rich- rcl4668

Best Brake Pads for Track Days
I have to add that I did upgrade my car with Stoptech ACR rotors. Motul RBF 600 brake fluid and Stoptech stainless steel brake lines. This was done more for cheap insurance against brake failure than any performance shortomings at the track. I stand by my statement though that the stock pads...- rcl4668

Agreed that fewer cars is generally better in termsof track time and safety but Mark informed me that he needs 15 more cars (at least 40 total entries) for them to break even with the considerable track rental fee. As someone mentioned above, an added benefit with Luke is that he is very knowledeable about using tires on the track, autocross, HPDE events and racing.
