    Second opinion needed please....

BWoodbury, You know a wing on that GTS would make it stand out nicely. As far as the white letters, they seem to look pretty nice. As Sean said, if you get tired of them, you can always put back the stock ones. Matt

    Proud VCA Member??

The tests might be better in the "Test" section, but .... I like the idea and I think "Proud VCA Member" works. It's accurate and it lets people know you're participating and supporting the Viper Club of America. Have you considered adding region? It might get to cluttered, but just a...

    BUSTED! Stolen Trailer Recovered

Glad to hear they found and busted the jerks who stole your trailer. That is certainly a rarity nowadays. I'm sure your insurance company will be happy that they can recoup some of the loss. At least they took good care of you. Matt

    Oxidized Paint--Zaino

I'm guessing this isn't on your Viper as it looked pretty good the last time I saw it. Depending on how bad the oxidation is you could try using the 3M 39009 Swirl Mark Remover or the more abrasive 3M Rubbing compound to buff it out. Both of these ARE abrasives though so they will remove some...

Best place for Cotton Detailing towels?

Might I suggest trying them in an inconspicuous place first so as to make sure they will not scratch. I purchased the Zaino recommended Cannon Fieldcrest towels, cut the ends off and all, and they still left fine scratches which I now have to clear up. I'm going to give Groit's a call. I've...

Never seen this fix on the board...

Man, Don, I can't believe you think putting the Mopar top on and off is a snap. I have one and I don't think I'll ever put it back on. It is a pain in the butt to remove that sportcap pad. I've been thinking of trying to sell it to switch to a V-Mania top just so I can get some use out of the...

    Hard Top Questions: Advise-opinions please

Check out a similar thread "Double Bubble with a Scoop on Top". It concerns the V-Mania hardtop, which is very nicely done and much easier to install than both the Mopar and Autoform tops. It can also be had for about $2700. Matt

Check out http://www.ViperMania.com There are pics and info there. Also, do a search of the archives. There was a recent post discussing this hardtop and it also had some customer pictures. -Matt

    ORECA CARBONFIBER WING

Jon, If you won't post the brand of wing that damaged someone's car for Sean, how about posting it for the thousands of other VCA members here who can benefit from the information? This could be a costly mistake. I'd hate to think one competitors e-mail would stop you from warning/helping...

    ORECA CARBONFIBER WING

Jon, Your first post was a bit leading. When I first read it I thought the same thing Sean did, that the wing you carry is the only one worth buying. My only concern, however, was for the car and not marketing. I admit the Multi-Axis wing is a quality piece and would be my choice anyway. Your...

    Question for Supercharging Gurus

Gerald, I uderstand what you are saying and I sort of have the same perception. I'm really asking because I haven't been given a technical answer one way or the other. The only justification I've received is that at non-forced induction levels this phenominon is not as detrimental (?). Also, a...

Anyone retrofit, or price retrofit, of ABS?

Lots of Corvette forum guys cruising over here. Cool. I believe that Tommy Archer (?) has adapted an ABS kit to a non-ABS car. Have you tried searching the archives for ABS? There's lots of info there. The kit mentioned by Archer was said to be around $7000 and be better than the stock 2001...

    Question for Supercharging Gurus

What does the air/fuel ratio look like when moving from the front cylinders to the back? It would seem like the front would receive a denser air charge causing either a lean condition at the front or a rich condition at the back. This has been a documented problem on other front throttle-bodied...

    Question for Supercharging Gurus

I'd really be interested to hear a technical answer to this question from a tuner such as Doug or Jason. I really don't think it's as straight forward as some here are saying. It seems a denser air charge WOULD enter the first cylinders. It also seems that the air/fuel ratio would vary from...

    Pressure plate spring life?

Thanks for the heads up on parts. I'm looking into the driving history of the car as I've only driven it 300 miles. I've held the clutch if the wait is short, but yes, the heavy pedal sort of encourages you to let it out. Hopefully the second time around I can get something more than 8800...

    Pressure plate spring life?

After taking my '96 RT/10 (8865 miles) in for an oil change and some service I learned that I will need to replace my clutch (more precisely the pressure plate springs, but as I understand it, it's a whole assmebly) soon. It is my understanding that they wear from holding the clutch (like while...

    Finding the Right Viper

Another HUGE resourse is the archives here. Search them for similar topics. They have been discussed before. I know I asked the same questions before buying my Viper. Also, a member here, Jason-Middle Tennesse, has a huge archive of Viper pictures. Some of every iteration. You can check that...

    Best towels to use?

Do you guys cut off the sewn/embroidered band near the bottom of the towel as well as the sewn ends or does thise decorative "stripe" not scratch the paint? Just curious. It seems the more I cut the more the towels turn to junk. I'm thinking a bit of creative folding might be a better option? Matt

Twin supercharger emissions legal performance package

OH MY GOD! When can we hear more? Like where are you going to fit TWO superchargers. As a Dodge dealer can you comment on how this would effect the servicing of the Viper (ie. will other dealers refuse to service it because of this)? Will existing warrantees on non-driveline components still...

    Is this a fair price for a 96 RT/10?

Sounds like a fair price, but like Joseph said, it all depends on the condition. FWIW I paid a bit more for a '96 RT/10 with 8500 miles and some upgrades. Juse be sure to check on the warrantee, it's a big plus. Matt
