Here's how we eliminate idle hang when needed....

Re: Here\'s how we eliminate idle hang when needed.... The only hang idle I have noticed is a slight pause in the revs as they drop from 2500 out of gear. Will pause slightly at about 1500 rpm before dropping to idle. Sean's mod above eliminated this. I did have one episode associated with a...

    18" fronts/17" rears????

Re: 18 The biggest advantage I can think of is being able to run 14" rotors. I would jump on 18" wheels in the 1996-1998 style in a minute. I don't really like the stock 18" and the aftermarkets are not better looking enough for me to justify the cost.

I just completed my last transaction with Jon B

Also here late. No problems ordering from Jon. I have bought many things from thousands to less than 100$ and always had good service and excellent advice. I would urge anyone who hasn't ordered from him to try it and make your own decision.

Change brake fluid once a year?

Not much back & forth with the speedbleeders really, lots o' pumps on the first one, less so as you get further forward. I thought you would have to go back and forth for each bleeder; 6 times for the fronts and twice for the rears. Plus back and forth for refilling the master cylinder...

Change brake fluid once a year?

The factory manual recommends pressure bleeding which can easily be done with a Motive Brake Bleeder. With it you don't have to run back and forth pumping the pedal. Check out this thread .

Mercedes Stole what should be the SRT body

Agree. Poor integration of several design elements. Front end profile is just plain ugly! Looks like the SRT's has a pretty ugly step-sister. IMO, MB hasn't made an attractive car since the 280SL.

    best supercharger ?

"I think the heffner kit is the one to get." I didn't know that Heffner sold kits. Could you expound on this? If I get a supercharger I will only get one I can install myself.

The SCCA reclassified a stock Viper down to SS class. I believe that ACR's are still ASP.

    Why Vipers don't handle well?

Re: Why Vipers don\'t handle well? Every time I do a driving event with an instructor that drives another type of car (BMW, etc) they are always in amazement of the handling. "The potential of this car is unbelieveable" they often say. P.S. There was a thread a while ago regarding a Seattle...

I want to get back into Vipers again! selling my Ferrari, any interest?

My favorite Ferrari short of a TR or M. From haning out on the FerrariChat site the past year, Ferrari prices have really dropped. Great time to buy a Testarossa at a low price. Yours sounds like a gem. Good luck with your sale. I can't buy till I get another garage bay to store it in. Don't...

My check wallet light is on :(

Never had a problem with my Nor Cal mats. You can secure them with a zip tie through a hole in the end of mat to the seat mounting brackets.

How valuable are you to DC? Getting shafted I says. VALVE ISSUE.

You need better customer care with a mercedes considering their cars are now less reliable than Dodge or Chryslers :) . I have always had excellent service at my local Dodge dealer. Replaced weatherstripping on both doors when I brought it in for the drivers side. Fixed extrememly tiny oil leak...

    MXX3s 335x17

Good price. Be sure to post in the classifieds. A lot of the road racers prefer the MXX3's to the Sports.

    MXX3s 335x17

That sounds like too much $. I had my Viper repaired (New hood, new fascia, new headlights, new radiator support, 4 new tires, all wheels refinished, paint 3/4 for 26k$. 20 mph side swipe so no frame damage. Still it would have been 45k$ at least. Sorry to hear about your accident.

    Hood Cut-Out?

Here is a write-up I saved on this. I take no credit other than having cut and pasted it: "After reading this post from Leonard from TX, I decided to go ahead and cut a hole in the driver side grill of the hood of my 95 R/T. Leonards suggestion seemed to make a lot of sense and since there...

    Motul - any drawbacks?

Is there any advantage to using it for the clutch? Doesn't seem like a high temperature application. I just use high grade standard brake fluid for it.

    Speedbleeder

I agree with Roadkill. Get the Motive bleeder. It saves you the routine of running around loosening the bleeder, pumping the pedal and refilling the master cylinder. Get the Miller adaptor (Miller Tools 800-801-5420) for the perfect combination.

Dodge Viper or Mercedes - "All American" car ???

Re: Dodge Viper or Mercedes - Have you seen the latest JD Powers vehicle dependability survey? Mercedes cars on average had more problems than every American car brand with the exception of Jeep! They did beat Kia, Suzuki and Daewoo  . Chrysler and Dodge scored significantly better...

    proracer1's Roe s/c dyno chart

Re: proracer1\'s Roe s/c dyno chart HP and Torque are always equal at 5252 rpm by defination. Impossibe for them not to be no matter the type of dyno or type of car.... HP=(TqxRPM)/5252 If RPM=5252, HP=Tq Click here for more information. This may not hold true for the metric system but who...

    DUMP CLUTCH AT 5,000 RPMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to hang out on the Porsche board and nearly all the 911TT owners were very affraid of high rpm clutch drops due to the strengh of (or lack of) the trasmission. I remember one thread where they jumped all over one owner for suggesting it. In the real world very few 911TT owners would try...

    Boost tuner question...........

"The same thing happens if you try to cool your intake charge with your ENGINE-DRIVEN AC unit. If you rigged the AC to not cut out when the pedal is mashed, then the horsepower draw to cool that much air would negate any potential power gain. " By this argument superchargers should not work...

Re: 02 ACR Arrow rebuild 483Hp 529\' Tq If you get a chance, please dyno your ACR on a chassis dyno! You may have the distintion of finally answering the question of what really is the true drivetrain loss in a Viper! I would be silling to chip in some $$$....
