On the way home from work today (about 4:30pm) saw a black SRT10 Coupe in Walnut Creek at the intersection of Treat and Oak Road driving away from Walnut Creek. A very nice looking car. When I first caught it out of the corner of my eye I thought for about a millisecond it was a C6 Z06... little...
Just wanted to see if anyone had some suggestions on a place where it's safe/sane and cop free (as much as it can be I guess) to do some 0-60 and 1/4 mile runs. Any local tracks other than Laguna and Infeneon?
Great! Looks like there are at least two of us heheh. I'll most likely be attending the dinner at Santa Row on the 7th. Hopefully I can get some info there. Looking forward to a good turnout and seeing some people with the mods I've been thinking about (hopefully).
Sounds like a lot of fun, I'm planning on going for the VCA get-together... but I've never checked out Hot Summer Nights before. I've seen pictures from previous years of a parking lot full of Vipers, is that the VCA? If so, where does everyone meet?
Lowering hasn't been on the top of my mod list... but I have considered it. Can you post pics and some details of the work when you get it done? I'd be interested in seeing how it looks afterwards. What size wheels do you have?
Here are my very amateur pics of the new SSR rims. Not as fancy as the super duper chromes most of you guys put on, but I like the color and the fact that they don't show brake dust... plus they're lighter than the ACR BBS wheels.
That reminds me... a good friend's dad used an old rear wheel and tire from his vintage Formula 5000 Surtees to make a great coffee table with. That rear wheel is MUCH wider than an 18x13 Viper wheel... a 13" high coffee table is a bit short. Did you use two wheels for the coffee table Steve?
Makes sense to me, I was thinking the same thing. The new wheels are definitely an upgrade in both looks and performance in my opinion so most buyers would be happy to have them. Not that I ever intend to get rid of the car, but ya never know
Just put on some new after market rims on my 2002 GTS, debating selling the OEM rims. What do most people do? Is it a good idea to keep them in case I sell the car in the future?
I'm pretty sure I accidentally pulled it out of the fitting when I was installing new ignition wires and didn't realize it until the next day. The hose is in good shape, I just pushed it back into the fitting and everything with the car seems normal.
Thanks for the info Steve.

The hose that popped off was the small hose, I'd say it's a quarter inch hose. There was no liquid so I'm guessing it's a vacuum hose. I put it back in it's slot right away, didn't notice any difference in the feel of the brakes. Thanks for the info guys.
I'm trying to explain a part under my 2002 GTS's hood to someone but I don't know what it's called and don't have my service manual with me. It's the black round shaped part (about the size of a volley ball) on the driver side right behind the wheel well. It has a couple tubes coming from it and...
No one here listens to punk? Have the latest Bouncing Souls album permanently in the CD player... but a little Pennywise, Methadones... even some Flogging Molly is great Viper music. Nothing gets the blood pumping more than some under-produced, underrated, two minute, three chord punk!
Very nice! Is there a way in Forza 2 to share your design with other people on XBox Live? Or would the only way be to sell the whole car? If you can share, send it over to wigginz9 :)
Well, looks like it's most likely factory... although I won't know for sure until I take a look at the original sticker. There are definitely ridges on the stripes, and all of the scoop angles are clearly painted with the silver stripe.
Thanks for the responses, I'll have to order the sticker...
Does anyone know how I can tell if my stripes are factory? Viper is red with silver stripes.
I've also been able to pull up the original description of the car, I'm thinking the one in bold is the line item for stripes? Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks!

Wow, and I thought the 1% yearly county property tax I have to pay on my ski boat was outrageous... a car tax is even worse. Adding CT as a state I'll stay away from.
