Good thing Dawn drove it in the trailer. She is the only one skinny enough to climb out of the door while in the trailer. Congrats. That is a mean car. Have you decided to have the intake manifold converted or keep the trumpets open as is?
Stock here except for Khumos and K&N's. Any performance mods to the car would surely result in a traffic ticket. As a matter of preference I will keep it stock appearing too. However, I love what some Vipers turn out like with the right mods.
Any Viper owners going to the Vintage Auto fest at Farmington town park by rte 441 on June 3rd? Not sure if I can make it but it is on my want to do list.
Saw 3 Vipers here in Rochester this week making 4 this year. Black Gen III on 590 N, a solid Red GTS also on 590 N, a sapphire or black GTS on Washington st earlier this year, and today a red 99 or 00 today on Lake Crest dr off Lake ave. Anybody I know? Have a great day all:drive: .
Have you tried going to a different dealership? Many of which may not be up to date on the void issue and repair your Viper as if you never were at the other place. Try out of state if needed. Just a suggestion.
Said it before with other Gen I and II's and I'll say it again. Awesome upgrade. Makes it look like you bought it yesterday.:2tu: Only thing I dislike about the pics is that the windows are still on while top is off. (sorry, ocd on my part):D
I asked Chuck's advice on Monday. Also talked briefly on the 08. Was great to talk to somebody that treats you like a human instead of a potential cash machine like many of my local dealers.
Beautiful RT/10  :2tu: Then again, I am very biased. :D My eventual second Viper will NOT be black because of the insane amount of maintenence and my current OCD is already too overwhelming.
This winter there were a few snow storms that resulted in widespread black ice. There were cars off the road all over the highway and approx 8 of 10 were SUVs with 4 wheel drive capabillity. Those people had a false sense of security because of 4WD and lost it. The same thing happens with TC...
Dodge clearly made a statement when releasing details of the 08 Viper. Throttle by wire is on the latest 600 hp engine. TC is not even an option. This leaves me to believe that meeting emissions was the primary reason for throttle by wire (not TC) and that DC fully intends to keep the Viper as...
I thought it was announced that pricing would be similar to currrent levels at least before dealer markup. Get the 08 if you want it. I assume you are looking at a coupe because of the stripes. As stated before, the hp wars could end suddenly. The chance to buy brand new Vipers may come...
Countach was my dream car till the Viper. I believe it was 1985 when I got a ride in a black one. The driver put be back in my seat once. The ride was priceless. Very timeless supercar styling.
My center manager (a level up from my direct boss) at work was overheard saying "I can't let him pay off that car." He was jealous and actually took it out on me. He had me in the office over and over again tightening the screws on my performance and pressuring me to perform or get fired.:brick...
I have seen most episodes. It seems to be more of a strategy game managing fuel and planning a route. Most of the challenges except for last week were stupid.
Breakdowns so far were almost predictible, especially with the Lambo the way he was ripping on it doing doughnuts. How long does an...
Sorry to hear. What year and mileage does your Viper have? Is Arrow doing rebuild? If so the 2 months will be worth it in a better overall engine from what I have read.
Glad you are OK. Stories like this keep me from getting too crazy and wearing my seatbelt. Also I plan on staying mostly stock for the road. 800 hp is way too tempting to have and not use for me. Your Viper must have ran like a bat out of hell.
Best Wishes to you.
I am a big fan of NA horsepower. Sounds like it was well worth the wait. I bet the custom crank took some time as well. Glad you are back on road again!
I had a friend that ran BB Chevys in his late 70's Firebird. In the 6 years I knew him he had to have gone through at least 3 engines. He used nitrous in every one of them. He also put nitrous in an LS1 Camaro that he sold and the new owner kwickly blew that up.
