Yea saw that one on EBAY....thats NUTS! I guess if it was perfectly maintained then it should be good, but I would never buy that car when you can get the same year car with 20k on if for not much more.

looks a bit rough to me. look at the nose and hood gap. 150k. salvage title. interior looks pretty worn as it should with that kind of mileage. minimum - nose needs repainted. bad hood and headlight gap on pass side. drivers side door gasket is ripped. what is the wire hanging below the dash? - looks like the entire panel below the steering wheel is missing. can light even get through the frosted headlights? i noticed he didnt mention tire condition.

it should be fun to see what happens.

As some of you know, I have a 108k 94.
I replaced the seats with new, the dash, steering wheel. The interior looks very nice.
My car was repainted and looks good on the outside.
I had the clutch and flywheel replaced, Steering rack, new breaks all around and also many other mechanical parts. new 3.55 gears, wheels from a 96, sticky Kouhmos. The engine in my car was replaced at 95k under an extended warranty.
I have the factory hard top, the factory soft top and the slider factory side curtains. I have one of the new one piece hard tops from Jeff.

The point of all this is that I don't think I could get more than mid $20k for my car and it doesn't have a salvage title.

I doubt thatanyone will pay mid $20k for that one.

Not bad for only 19K............

Good point, for $19k, I'm tempted to buy it and paint it (I don't need 2 red RT's :) ). I'm thinking it'll ultimately end up selling for mid-high 20's

Agree. It needs a little TLC and some phone calls to Chuck Tator/JonB for some parts. Can't tell about the over all paint job, but front facia's aren't that expensive to paint.

I'm glad whenever I see Vipers out there with mileage that high. Gives me confidence that they can go that far as long as they're maintained.

Wow, now that is high mileage. Someone really drove that one.

"Its my sunday driver - when weather permits."

150,000 miles/12 years/52 weeks = 240 miles/week

Either the first owner put a sh^t pile load of miles on it or the second owner averaged 240 miles per Sunday......and drove it every Sunday!

Wow Joe. You only 5K more miles than me and I haven't needed to replace any of that stuff. And the seats still look great even with my big butt sitting in them for all those miles.

Final price.... 22.2K.

Figure a paint job
Interior work
Headlights
Tires (guessing)
You still have not done anything under the hood (big mystery with no pics)

Figure about an additonal 10K, so, someone just spent 32K for a 150K mile Viper?? Hmmmm.....

Hey, different perspective- buy for 22.2K and do nothing but drive it (considering that some owners don't want to add miles, this is a luxury being jealous over!) and probably sell it later (for 22.2K?) Cheapest fun per mile of most Vipers.

I agree, I was just trying to get the car up to the level of what I guess normal Vipers are and comparing the cost difference.

Congrats on having that high miiles on your viper. I'm sure you are very proud of it. But, WHY pull all the high mile threads from ages ago and post the same thing?

I was searching to see what other high milage cars were out there. So far it appears as though the other ones I'm seeing are 155k from an ad and 111k from Joe I think. I had heard that there were a few other higher milage people posting on the boards, so I replied to the 6 threads dealing with high milage. Some of them are asking what types of problems people are having.

Listing has been removed or cancelled. Even the highest mileage Vipers will have a parts out value higher than the average car.
