What gives owners that *prefer* other makes the impression that they can improve the current record holding car (the Viper ACR) at the Nurburgring? So far the only suggestions is to make the Viper like the Corvette with a rear mounted transmission or to make the Viper like the Ford GT with a...
They still should have owner status since many are out of range of race tracks or any gatherings and can't fully enjoy the benefits. Now if the next VOI would come to Rochester, NY then I would renew ASAP. I can still dream.:D
Please give a couple examples of these extreme condition failures. :eater:
I am sure that most people that do forced induction expect to have incremental parts failures over time if they are well enough informed. They feel it is worth it for the short term to go ludicrous speed which is an...
You played it smart and tested "being bit" in an empty parking lot first. The Viper has torque like few other cars and commands respect. Steel grey looks great with silver stripes. I recommend overriding the skip shift if it hasn't already been done as it makes the Viper more driveable in...
I just awakened my Viper and C5 yesterday. I usually let them run for at least 15 min to let the oil and fluids get through the engine before putting a load on them. I heard the lifters tick a little on the vette at first. I broke my trickle charger wire when I put it on the Viper and left it...
If that is about the cost, it seems like a bargain. I have always had a preference to good old NA hp. I particularly like how they put plastic wrap around the fenders underneath the regular snap on blankets and on the fascia to protect the paint at the shop. I look foward to Mopar controller...
I have to agree with you 100%. Too bad there are not near as many standing mile venues or even 1/4 mile tracks as needed. If there were enough, street racing would happen a fraction as much as now and the roads would be safer.
IMHO, sportscars for the street are only shadows of their racing versions. The racing versions of the Viper got penalized with huge restrictor plates and lots of added weight in order to race in many venues because it has the biggest engine. That is why there is a Viper Racing League and ACRX...
A dealer mechanic on this site has stated that the 2008 and newer Vipers are very sensitive to low voltage on batteries even on brand new cars at the dealership.
Nice video. It must be great to be popular enough to have Ralph Gilles drive to your garage and show you the latest cars. Jay is really cool as far as celebrities go. Thanks for posting.
I talked to a South Korean recently. He said that there are very few convertibles in S.Korea. The air pollution is so bad that you couldn't stand it during your drive and would smell and look dirty after the ride. I saw a documnentary on China showing how landfills are overflowing into populated...
To paraphrase George Carlin: Don't worry about the Earth. It'll shrug us off like a bad habit eventually leaving maybe a couple pieces of styrophome from our existence. The Earth is not going anywhere but WE are.
I honestly would bet the costs of conversion to a reasonable likeness of the Woodhouse Viper would be cost prohibitive. Saving an extra year would afford you a second Viper vert.
