    Yet another Special Edition....

    Cruise control? Now that's special!

Two new issues in one day.

No changes since the headlight 'reflash' years ago. No VEC2. I have found that I can warm the cabin just by driving aggressively!

Two new issues in one day.

My 03 SRT-10 has been generally trouble free the past two years. Even the passenger side window fixed itself (used to snag the top) Coming home from the Blind Horse Saloon last Saturday night, the temp had dropped into the 50's and I turned the heat on for the first time since.... No heat...

viper vs vette vs gt! REMATCH!!! this time by MT

My math is bad, or something else is up. At 60mph the Vette is .2 seconds ahead, by 100mph the Viper is.8 seconds behind. The weight difference is 276 lbs. The torque difference is 65 ft.lbs! the HP diff is 5. The Viper has slightly wider rear tires and better weight distribution. AND IT IS...

I raced a Carrera GT this morning

Mmmmmm, Arbys! I like it when I get horsey sauce all over my lips. Back to the topic, A Carrera GT would be quite a sight just sitting still on the street. To see one on motion must have been awesome. Getting to RACE one? Once in a lifetime! I disagree about it looking like a stretched...

    Another Dumb Question.................

Maybe I missed something: With the top up, kneel in drivers seat, spray glass cleaner, wipe.

    Lambo Doors

It wouldn't work anyway. Look at the design of the door. The door undercuts the fender. No room, as the doors would crash into the front fenders when opening. Shortybighead. Interesting choice of names.....

    First 06 SRT-C in Oklahoma

Silver, Silver, Silver, Blue? Why break the trend? I'd love to see a silver 06 coupe side by side a silver GTS.

    Lowering an SRT???

Ricky, LOTS of us are waiting on a solution to lower the SRT without spending $1K per corner to do so. Bill P. at Woodhouse said something about a spring cap setup. I'm just waiting for someone else to install it and call it worthy.

FREAKY paint bubbles ... right out of X-Files (pics)

I had those on my silver 99. All over the drivers door and left 1/4 panel, but they weren't THAT bad. You had to look close to see them. Maybe with more time, that's what it turned into? I only kept the car about a year. I knew it was an original defect from the plant, just didn't think it...

'06 SRT Coupe w/ 2700 Miles is HOME!

Re: \'06 SRT Coupe w/ 2700 Miles is HOME! Why only 5/8"? I'd like at least 1" if not a little more. If the 5/8" looks good in pictures, I'll buy a set. It's gotta be better than the current 4x4 look!

Dont get your panties in a bunch....

My panties are fine, thanks for your concern! Did your buddy break the car in properly, or is he one of those 'drive it like you stole it' guys? That's awesome if you owned the new C6 Z06. What did your former friend say???

    headlights collecting unsightly dirt&dust inside

I've never looked closely at the SRT headlights, but based on experience all the front lenses are sealed. The only access is a large rear trap door on the GTS (held on by wingnuts if I remember) to access the bulbs. Since the SRT has Xenons and full fenders, I don't know what the back looks...

    headlights collecting unsightly dirt&dust inside

It's probably a mis-aligned seal somewhere. My headlights are perfectly clean inside after 22,000 miles, and I do drive in the rain. Have the dealer check it. My GTS had a gap in the rear headlight seal, but I fixed it myself.

drag racing times / magazine vs. real times

The run flats are better with higher pressure. I dunno why. I ran, lowered the pressure...went slower, lowered it again...went slower, put it down until the lo tire thingy wouldn't shut up....went slower. Came back the next week, same temps, tires at 33 ran better. increased to 36, ran better...

New test, by Car and Driver

Aero changes make a big difference above 120. I wonder since the softtop is .40 and they say the coupe is .39 Both numbers still on the high side.

drag racing times / magazine vs. real times

Maybe the mags could all chip in and buy a 1/4 mile strip. Then they could build a roof over it and keep the temp at 70 degrees. All could use it for thier 'official times'. On top gear, they run all the cars on the same track, same driver (the stig?). The SRT-10 was run in the rain. That's all...

New test, by Car and Driver

Let's test the Viper at high altitude and 100 degrees. THEN: let's test the Vette at sea level and 60 degrees. Then when we print the numbers it will piss off the Viper guys. Who cares? There's only a few thousand of them....there are hundreds of thousands of Vette owners. Economics and...

I just drove the SRT Coupe

Frank, he couldn't find the seatbelts. Very common if they aren't left over the bolster....how would he know that if he didn't at least get in it? Kinda like a newbie in a GenII looking for the seatbelts on the outer side of the car.

    Motor Trend ...blah

Here's the other blah: There's a small square (We Hear) that says 'C6 Z06 really makes up to 550 hp' It's on page 22. The blurb also says 'which would explain its astonishing performance at the Nurburgring's Nordschleife' Um, Motor Trend, you guys had an article about SAE certified...

FORD GT vs.Z06 vs. VIPER. TESTED!!!!!!!

Road Atlanta has 'short' and 'long' versions....2:35 is nowhere near the 1:33 times in the mag, so maybe you were running the extendo course with a longer and straighter back straight???

Why does DC choose not to install traction

It could, and has, made the difference between life and death to the lower-skilled driver (i.e. student?) on public roads. After they remove the body, and find the 'trac' switch in the OFF position, it was all lack of skill that got them/you 6 feet under. Tracks have run off areas, helmets, 5...
