We will adapt. Changes happen much more rapidly when a crisis happens. Within the next two years there will be a car on the market that runs on Hydrogen. Yeah, it will be expensive, but it will be the start of something that will change the world and we'll finally shut off the flow of money to...
Very good letter! You forgot only one line, which should be at the end:
"...spewed his biased views forth with the typical ignorance of someone who would never own a Viper in the first place", and someone who should never be allowed to work for an automotive enthusiast magazine.
Re: Any drawbacks on buying \'03 Viper with just 7 miles?

Don't I also seem to remember an issue with heads and much lower horsepower as a recall?
The 'bog' was a TSB not a recall. There could be cars out there with the bog problem that haven't been reflashed, the owner had to...
Vinyl stripes? Painted stripes after the first clear would be odd, since they would have to re-clear the whole top front and back of the car. Then they would still have more of an 'edge' when runnning your hand across them. Odd. Maybe only the first editions will have it done this way.
First is was Chevrolet, certifying the horsepower of the C6 Z06 at 505. Then it was DC certifying the SRT-10 motor at 510. Will Ford do the same with the GT engine? I'd bet that it makes a lot more than 550, given the weight of the car.
I guess people were smart enough to see the Crossfire for what it was....the last gen SLK. The new SLK's are flying off dealers lots (as with most new Mercedes models) for a substantial amount more $$$ than a Crossfire. Maybe it's the folding hardtop...
Has any car company EVER done that...
Not gonna argue back and forth, especially with someone who is a mopar enthusiast on a VIPER site. Two tenths is not being "blown away". IMO
R&T says 12.3 for a Viper and 12.3 for a C6Z06. Same driver? Whoever was driving was a slowshiftingmutha. Grandmutha. In both cases. I do think MT...
Which would mean the cars are about equal....
Unlike the statements we've been hearing over and over that the Z06 will 'blow the SRT-10 into the weeds' crapola.
Interesting how they went to the Nurburgring, but didn't run the long loop, they ran the F1 loop. Maybe they were afraid no one could touch the lap time set by the blue devil, not the standard Z06? You know the ring, you pay a few Euros, you can run it. GM probably didn't allow them to...
Sometimes I feel like it's important for Americans to own American stuff...but it's such a world economy now. Hell, the FRENCH own Nissan. I wonder what the average Japanese citizen thinks about that!
I think a lot of it has to do with gas prices. Most cities and states have to keep those patrol cars on the road, mowers cutting grass, paving the streets, running the firetrucks etc. So how do they come up with enough cash to offset the increase in the price of fuel? I think one of our local...
