    I KNOW you and I agree, Tony. And I agree that typically there are member only discussions in clubs. I think you and I would also agree that this situation is fairly atypical, and the discussion should be more open.

    On one hand you make the point that car clubs could (and should) be free, on the other hand, you want to limit access to the discussion of the current VCA issues (which are the reason many of us are non-paying, non-members). Those two notions seem at odds to me.

    Not sure I would do that in this situation. Something is wrong with a brand new car with 500 miles on it. If it is throwing phantom codes, that is a problem I would want fixed. If it has a bad connection to the CPS and is running poorly (as appears to be the case here), that is a problem I would...

    See below. But again, I would bet, on a newly assembled vehicle, that it is simply a bad connection or less likely a defective CPS. In any case, take it to the dealer.

    You guys really think bad gas would give you a faulty cam position sensor reading? My guess would be a bad connection or perhaps a faulty cam position sensor.

    Since I'm the only guy who admitted to keeping them, I'm assuming this question is directed at me.... This. My OE tires were extremely well preserved as the original owner basically let the car sit in a garage with no light exposure for 10 years. I even drove the car on them for a couple years...
