My Gen 3 was very consistent in temps so it's a bit unnerving to see the temps climb and fall in the Gen 2's. The fact that many other Gen 2's seem to have the same issue makes me think that it's just the way these cars tend to run. Guess that 3rd notch is the defining line between hot and TOO hot!

You're 100% right but it beats the Hell out of my old 450whp gen 3 lol. I'm in the Pacific Northwest and we have a few cars that are 10's and faster but not many yet. Texas still has us beat by far :P.
I agree the 345/35/18's will be overkill but the car is coming with nice 18" HRE wheels and I'm a fan of having the car on kill-mode everytime I go for a drive :)
