I can't seem to find the right tire for the Viper. Should be pushing a bit north of 600whp. I was originally going to go with 345/35/18 MT ET Street II's but I think that's too much tire and not enough longevity to be honest. I drive probably 8000 miles in a year with the Viper so I wanna find a nice radial that could at least last 1 season of abuse. I'm thinking of the Nitto NT555R but the only size close to what I need is 335/30/18. Nitto states the overall width of the tire is 13.19" but says the max width to be used on is 12.5". Could I get away with being a 1/2" too big? Or should I keep looking for another radial?

Toyo R888 might be worth a look. I've had good luck with them. Also for a real DR...look at the MT ET Street II's. super sticky....better have better half-shafts for the ET's...hey hook HARD.
Yeah I've been debating on the ET Street IIs. 345/35/18. Perfect size and everything, I'm only worried that they won't last over 5000 miles lol

Go with the MT's , nt555's wont hold the viper!!,you could check the NT05's too, they'll hook better than 555's, but not as good as MT's.

I have that M/T on my TT Viper and have over 3000 mi on them now and they still look new.....of course I have not even done a single burnout or ever even hardly chirped them......Now I do have Unitrex half shafts and drive shaft loop on my Viper but I havnt taken it too the dragstrip in almost 3 yrs......I baby it and drive like the ole 66 yr old kid I am, ha........and I don't street race so why the tire??? because when I had the regular Michlins on it it was too dangerous to drive at all. The rear would get loose just normal shifting the gears and was too squirley for me and now I feel totally safe with the M/Ts......and they fill up the wheelwell and look great........

You have a few choices if you can learn to roll into the throttle.
The Nitto NT05's work really well but don't handle well in any kind of "twisties".
The Nitto NT555R's work petty well too and handle much better all around. They're not too bad in the wet if you are careful.
The Hoosier A6's work pretty well to, just not in the wet.
I have run all of the above tires on the rear of my paxton Viper and currently use the Hooiser A6's ..... but it doesn't rain much here in So Cal.

For your combo, the Nitto NT05-R 345/30-19 drag radial should be perfect. You won't need 18s to handle 600 rwhp. I didn't switch from 19s to 18s until I was over 850 rwhp. Now, even 18s roast a bit from a 60 mph roll with 1000+.

I agree the 345/35/18's will be overkill but the car is coming with nice 18" HRE wheels and I'm a fan of having the car on kill-mode everytime I go for a drive

You're 100% right but it beats the Hell out of my old 450whp gen 3 lol. I'm in the Pacific Northwest and we have a few cars that are 10's and faster but not many yet. Texas still has us beat by far
