Looks nice. You're in Bahrain? I have lived there twice since '97 (and Saudi too). Just found out that I'll be going back again this summer for three more years. If you want, send me an email...jim
Just to follow up on the post, we think there are a number of Vipers on the Gulf Coast from NOLA to Tallahassee, to include a hundred miles or so inland. The local VCA Regions, AL/TN and Central/No Florida, are not active in this area at all. It's not a flame, as we've been in touch with both...
The mag is out--but not everywhere. In any event, it' true. Basically it's the same car, new hood and 600hp (8.4 Liter). In the same mag they have an article about the new "SS Supercharged Vette" sporting 650hp (LS7)--just GM trying to one up the new Viper.
Merry Christmas...
I received some Viper stuff. I got a 2002 Viper brochure, and a Viper ignition key in red. The next few days here in Florida will be nice, thus I'll be driving the Viper around.
Sorry to hear about your Dad. I almost lost my Dad 30 years ago to a massive heart attack. But, thankfully he recovered. He's now retired, 77, and still sharp as a tack. I'm blessed to have had him around for so long. I wish it could last forever, but unfortunately I know it must end one...
The only dealership to take me seriously too. John G. gave me my first ride and drive in a blue/white GTS back in 1998. I will never forget the experience.

I paid less then sticker. By the way, I framed my sticker.
Are you planning any events for Nov? We're planning a trip to Disney, and to visit some friends and the area. I'd like to take the Viper, but it depends. Thanks
There is a Viper for sale in St. Petersburg (FL) and a person I know would like some help to look it over. He plans on being down there either late Sunday afternoon (08Oct) or Monday morning (09Oct). If you're interested please PM me. Thanks.
An update to the post...Utilizing a suggestion from VIC, a translation website provided the following text regarding the fire (the text is in it's raw format).
Ring-back signal To our regret there are no beautiful pictures this time unfortunately to see. Again we must say good-bye to a silver...
I couldn't agree more with your comment, there aren't enough Vipers and my local VCA is not active (plus they're get together is some four hours away). As a side note, I once lived in Gurnee for six years. At that time I had a Vette--I loved it. In fact I just sold the Vette to a good friend...
Sad to be sure. Judging by the pictures, what few there are, and my experience, it appears the fire's origin is cabin related--just my .02 cents. However, it would be interesting to know what the text says, unfortunately I don't speak German.
Nice story...you really didn't lose because Vettes are everywhere. I count them every time I take an afternoon cruise in the Viper. And, basically, I stop counting after ten. In contrast, I never see another Viper unless I'm cruising with one. No doubt the new Vettes are nice and offer a lot...
Mine are perfect. By the way, I purchased an after-market cowl and had the stripes added to it. I think it makes for a more eye appealing hood line (just my .02).
