    K&N intake anyone interested?

No I was referring to the complete filter setup from them, your filters are just fine.

    K&N intake anyone interested?

The K&N kit only fits 98 and older gen 2's. And yes it will reduce your power output, not increase it.

What size enclosed trailer do you recommend?

Depends on the trailer. Its all about the weight, all 24' trailer's are not equal not even close. A nice aluminum one can weigh 2500lb's, but one made from other cheap material can weigh 10,000lb's. Had a 6k lb 24' which I towed with a v8 land cruiser no problem, so a 1500 Dodge truck should...

GEN II modified to compete with GEN IV ACR

Anyone saying that its going to be very expensive and difficult to achieve has a few things to learn about what makes cars faster. Equivalent in power or even more is easy, Stryker heads on an otherwise totally bone stock gen 2 motor will give you more power than a gen iv. The big stop tech...

GEN II modified to compete with GEN IV ACR

All it takes in money, the more you spend the faster you are. Makes no difference if you are in a viper or a civic.

    650 NA RWHP

How close are the Gen 3 heads to Strykers in potential? And what about Gen 4 heads? Supposedly its not hard to adapt them to the earlier cars. Thanks

    650 NA RWHP

What you need is cylinder heads, with factory castings I doubt you can even come close. A set of stryker heads is a must, raise compression, make sure you have the engine management required to pull this off, and the fuel system to support your goals.

    Lets talk A/F meters

An AEM unit is my recommendation, for the price you cant beat it. Last time I checked a good a/f meter with 1 good sensor was around 1k in price at least. You can get an AEM unit complete with 2 UEGO sensors and all for around 2300-2500. And then you can really datalog everything you could...

GEN 2 Owners - Do you Wanna Go FAST?

This is getting a bit weird agreeing with GTS-R 001 on more than one occasion, but he is very spot on. One of my buddies has recently been doing a bunch of testing in a wind tunnel and he said it was amazing how close you get with just altering and adding sensible aero pieces which were...

    Lets talk A/F meters

My suggestion would be an AEM unit then, it will do all the logging stuff you could ever want and you will pickup considerable power with a good tune. Even in nearly stock form my car picked up 15rwhp and 50 lbs's torque and the gains were almost through the entire power band while maintaining...

    Lets talk A/F meters

Chuck, Your a/f will be different on the street, its all about the load you encounter and how good correction factors are when it comes to the tune. Are you allowed to run non oem ECU's in your racing?

How much are these stand alone units that can data log?

    What clutch to buy?

Jon, Do you know what the OEM rotating mass is for Gen 2's? I have seen 71lb's claimed by some.
  14. R

    What clutch to buy?

Spec twin disk Much lighter rotating mass and easy to drive on street, while having the ability to hold much more power.

Gen II Exhaust With & Without Cats

The #1 reason to remove the cats is heat, without them the viper turns into a different car which is a joy to drive even for prolonged spirited runs. With them you end up having to run the AC just to keep your feet from bursting into flames.

    SCT v. VEC for boost?

Factory PCM is not bad, it seems to have the ability to handle forced induction and considerable power mods. But at the same time you have to be near someone that has the ability to tune it, and if you do then it can do the trick well enough. However there is nothing short of spending 10k+ on...

    SCT v. VEC for boost?

I totally disagree, The SCT is still a band-aid for a permanent solution, its something I would use on a very very mild mods car and even then you get far more from an AEM which is very very cheap considering the things you get with it. If you get an SCT and a good dual bank air fuel analyzer...

    Nice TT at SEMA

You are forgeting brake booster needs vacuum, and the others probably split off into smaller vacuum sources. You use the EGT readings to fine tune each cylinder, one of the perks for people that have real fuel management systems. The Twins have always known their stuff I have no doubts that is...

Video of the car at idle

Too bad you wont listen and your buddy is a douche, cause that is a very nice looking and sounding like at least a big cam and probably port work and compression car. You need to get that car to someone who can tune your factory PCM DC performance, or get an AEM unit. And yes I know your buddy...

    Just got off the dyno

Really? So its not you with the exact 'TRUST' handle on Viper Alley? With the exact same avatar as yours? You sure seem to give out lots of advice considering you are not a tuner? Negative? He came on here asking for advice that advice was given by people that obviously know far more than...

    Just got off the dyno

I just hope for the ops sake that you are not the tuner. PS. Over on the alley there is a Trust that could not figure out how to bolt on a bolt on turbo kit, would that happen to be you?

    Just got off the dyno

Did you read the post or just come on read the last few posts and start making your own? He has many mods which include ported heads, even with a crap port job and all his mods there is no reason his car should not make at least 500rwhp. Your stock car with a good tune is going to pickup...

    Just got off the dyno

You are confusing a prius for a Viper I think. Go ahead and run your viper at 13.2 or better yet 14.7 let us know how that works out for you. While you are busy arguing with me about part throttle lite load cruising tune's I am interested in max power/safe tunes. You may want to do some...
