    Strange sighting

    Any tips on how to improve Handling on a GEN I?

    Get the car aligned to 95 specs (assuming your car is older than that). That helped my car considerably. I also added Eibachs, which lower the car, and I feel helped handling.

    Trunk struts question...

    STUGOTS - Read the thread - it was stated (about 4-5 posts up) that 2 of the Snake Oyl struts work well. Place a second one on the other side.

    WHat does your car idle at?

    Avi and ArlyDude Like Dean said, you need to look at the marks on the tach closely. I think you are reading the 1st mark as 250, when in fact it is 500. 750 is the next small dash, and you are probably running just below that. 700 RPM's is about where mine runs.

    Fred, If you consider going with wood instead of metal, I know of a good Bay Area cabinet maker. Anything from hardwoods to powder coated MDF. Not real fast, but reasonable, and does very nice work. His shop is located near HP Pavilion, and he builds most everything there himself. Quintero's...

    Hamish, There are a lot of RT/10's out there for sale. The classifieds here and on the alley are a great way to start. If you find a car that suits your needs, post asking someone to check it out. I am sure someone will do it for you.

    manifold and valve cover paint

    Some people have used automotive paint (with varied results). Strip and powdercoat is probably (IMO)the best method. There are a number of people that post on this site that offer powdercoat. Search will be your friend!

    Aftermarket RT/10 Sidewindows

    Agreed. Some like the Northwind windows also, but for looks and usefullness (top on or off) I like the Vmania windows. I had a couple other types prior to Vmania, and don't see a reason to try any others.
