Whats the weak spot on these cars in the 1/4. I knew to be a little careful with the rear diff in my vette, and there is always a weak spot somewhere in the drivetrain relative to others. Just wondering before I hit any track time. I know that all Vipers made about half way through the 08...
I believe its now run by a different company. LPA if I remember. Guy who runs it is a lingenfelter but I am not sure if there is relation to John. If its who I think, this guy has a nice car collection, maybe an engine swap with one of his. If its good enough for you, its good enough for him.
Was this a professional shop? Wrong sized pistons, 2L of oil per 600 miles, oil drain to bottom of car, sounds like a personal garage build after a few too many beers.
I agree, with the discounts it is hard not to get one if you are in the market for a sports car. Given the option of my 08 coupe or another vette, no question.
Mark is where to go then. Call over there monday and he will let you know if you should get it towed there or drive it in depending on the code. Is your gas cap on and tight?
Did you take off the cover and check the battery? Maybe that shortened suspension rocked it around... HaHa. Couldnt resist after all the crap people gave you for the mod.
Maybe disconnect it and reconnect it.
If you get a chance post up some more pics, like of the journals.
Thanks, these guys do alot of vette work. Check out the corvette forum. Problem is that posts against supporting venders get deleted, so you only see the good.
Paperwork differs from state to state. But a temp tag should come with it, if not then you can pick one up at your DMV if you have the paperwork for transit.
Well here in Jersey we get hit with a surcharge on fuel inefficient vehicles over $45k. So I get to pay a surcharge twice.
I have to form my own government so I can start collecting all these fees twice. :lmao:
We are 7 percent here in Jersey but it is a one time tax. We dont pay tax on it year after year like some other states. Its also only on the difference of trade in vs. new car cost. This is why sometimes it is just easier to trade a car in here than to sell it privately. Its usually not...
Yea my tax money is just gonna sit there until I get this Certificate of Origin paper. New Jersey is just such a bad state to get pulled over in, I wonder if its a big deal.
Id love to see their face when they open the bill for a 2 week Viper rental...:lmao:
Its ok, Im still taking it easy on the Viper but will beat the Shi/ out of that civic.:drive:
Ok, so no new temp tag, but they will reimburse me for the rental in the mean time. My bank sent out the title but dealer didnt get it yet. I hate snail mail.
Thanks guys. I am not going to mention the dealer just because we all can drop the ball and as long as they come through then I'm happy. The deal up to this point was clean and simple. Just checked and my trade was paid off so I dont understand the hold up.
