    06' Rain Baffle Removal Question

You can seal up the area around the smooth tube and the upper and lower air box with PSA closed cell foam. As for removing the air baffle, if you lean back wards into the engine compartment and look inside the air scoop you will see 3 #1 Phillips screws holding the air baffle in place.

Sealed ram air box kit w/green filters VS just green filters...

As stated on my website we use a K & N unit and then modify it so there is no whistling noise that is common on their units. Then we seal the unit with foam tape so their are no leaks from between the plastic plenum tube and the upper and lower air box. We also seal out all under hood hot air...

SCT Flash Programers... Tuned, tested and in stock...

this turner sounds a lot like the ones that HyperTec makes for most car and trucks but not for the viper. I have used them and they can only do 1 car. yours. This is because once you upload their custom program into your vipers ECM the ECM downloads the stock program into the tuner unit. You can...

What is that noise coming from my viper?

All the above is quite correct. You can take it to any DC dealer but make sure they show you the techs papers that show he is viper certified as most DC dealers are not viper certified. Insist on seeing the papers. If I were you I would go straight to Chuck Tator as I can personally vouch for...

    06' Rain Baffle Removal Question

Yes you can remove the rain baffle as long as your air filters are oiled. Yes you will see and feel and increase in HP as you will be increasing the amount of air to the engine by 20% 25%. No it will not get your engine or engine compartment dirty in any way. No it will not let the engine...

What is that noise coming from my viper?

This is just a guess but perhaps it is your anti lock break system pumping up to full pressure. Like I said, just a guess. If so you have a leak down problem in the system and it needs fixing.

    radiator fan blades

I would do what Final said above. You do not want to risk holing your radiator if the repair does not hold up. This is a $90,000 viper, not a neon.

PCM says engin too cold: Code 1281

Look on the side of the thermostat. It should say 171185 on it. If not you have the wrong thermostat. I live in the northeast and have had no problem in 3 years with our thermostat. I even passed CT emissions last month with my viper in modified tune.

    Mopar Tips

We made the tip extensions for the Cat back system upon request from VCA members. After they were designed and built by ZAF and myself, at AtRo Racing, we were told by some VCA members that they should also fit the new style race exhaust. Seeing we have only about 5 vipers in our area what would...

    Mis-Shift

Most of the problem accrues on account of the factory shifter being a stamped sheet metal piece of junk. Don't believe me, then pull it out and look. We sell at AtRo racing Products a modified and blueprinted Hurst shifter kit that includes a ST to Th gear shift eliminator module. We utilize the...

PCM says engin too cold: Code 1281

I also agree with Chuck on this one. I know that my web site says that the thermostat that Dan, at DC Performance, and I sell is a 170 degree but in truth this thermostat starts to open at 170 degrees and is fully open at 185 degrees. I have to ask where you bought your 170 degree thermostat as...

Sealed ram air box kit w/green filters VS just green filters...

By sealing the air box you are bringing in outside cold air only which will make more power than hot engine air. To compensate for the small air scoop one just needs to remove the rain baffle form the hood scoop as this will increase the size of the opening dramatically. With the oiled green...
