What does the 60 ft time mean?

Well this is something my wife told me..... If you race you break. She is somehow bewitched as I have broken some parts from the large amount of torque these engines put to the ground and on the drive train. The weak link in these cars are half shafts and diffs. All pretty easy fixes on the 04...

Gen 3 exhaust - high flow cats?

I hated them. sounded like a boat. I counld not even talk in the car and the drone was ungly. I had Corsas behind them. Went back to just the Corsas happy and I think the car is quicker without the High Flow cats. Just ran 11.55 123 MPH with just a tune. Remember if you drag this car and go...

How difficult is it to remove and replace the differential?

Well I guess 3:07 would be the answer then. Interesting i had 3:73 and ran out of 4th in the qtr by about a 100' With 3:55. I have a bit more to give in the quater in 4th gear. For me something in between would work best but I really like the 3.55 I assume I would not need 4th with the 3.07...

How difficult is it to remove and replace the differential?

Well as mentioned before Unitrax is the place to get it done right. Its pretty easy to remove takes a couple hours of labor but actually pretty easy to do. I have done three o far but only on a lift. Go with a OSGiken best durability.

For Drag racing at a track, what RPM do you launch at?

I set my launch light at 2500 after a good burn out in the box. I mean really heat them up. Seems pointless to drag race on street tires. I run M&H drag radials with 17psi my 60' times are 1.7 never hit 1.6 I don't drop the clutch but ease it in. With this type of suspension you want to avoid...

Throttle Body upgrade - X-Metal vs BBK

The first BBK was really a poor product with sticky butterflies actually rubbing on the TB itself. They finally made it right but it was pretty bad in the beginning. The X-Metal was perfect from the start never had issues. I just kept the BBK on the car after it was reworked. IN apperance the...

High flow cats on stock car?

it's a much improved sound. power wise not sure since i never checked it. It does sound nice. the high flow cats were to much for me sounded like a boat. The Corsa installation is also pretty straight forward. Removal of the cross over exhaust is not that hard either.

High flow cats on stock car?

I found it ran better with the stock cats and corsa. The noise was was also way to loud with the high flow cats. The power ban seem very flat. I removed them and went back to stock. thats just what I did

Throttle Body upgrade - X-Metal vs BBK

I had it dynoed with the xmetal and it was less. can't rmemeber how much, but after a long discussion with the mfg. of the X-metal about dyno's I just left it on and ran it. I did try the the BBK and that was a total disaster until late when they finally got there act together and I am...

    SRT hardtops

I don't have a pic of it at the moment, I actually modified my latch turning it into a hook rather than a straight bar. I just felt a bit more secure at 120 mph with it locked down tight.

    Drag racers help me out

If you've done any drag racing, you've probably noticed that racers seem obsessed with 60ft ET's. There's a good reason for this. The first 60ft of the track sets the stage for the rest of the run and has a huge effect on the ability to "run the number" when bracket racing. Many beginning racers...

    Extend warranty or not?

I have the Chrysler warranty but, have yet to use it. All issues I have had to date were covered under the factory warranty. Still feel good about having it since any car repair to a Viper is expensive.
