    Barret Jackson not such a good deal anymore..

    Grundy here as well. They don't have mileage restrictions, but do not allow commuting with the car...you must prove that you have a daily driver. Very friendly person helped me get set up. No hassles.

    As long as the "blowoff" valves are properly set up, the oil supply is adequate, and the driver's not being an idiot, a journal bearing turbo's thrust bearing is plenty adequate for duty in a TT Viper.

    The difference in spool time is negligible. The rebuildability is definitely and advantage. Bearings in ball-bearing turbos skip along at 100k RPM anyway, which is why the races are always scuffed no matter how clean the oil has been. Put the money elsewhere like in tuning and fuel delivery.

    I went through similar situation on my 96 GTS. It had .140 amps (140 milliamps) flowing even with everything off and doors locked. Funny thing is my LED's on the inner handled stayed lit unless I armed the alarm. They're NOT supposed to stay on...they're supposed to turn off after about 10...

    You mentioned the machine shop spec'ing the cam unless otherwise provided... Not sure who your machine shop is, but I recommend you use a reputable engine guy, specifically a cylinder head and camshaft guy, to spec a camshaft for the build.

    3:73 gears are you happy with them.

    I drive a 4.11 in my GenII! It's actually not bad. I don't think you'd notice one bit of difference in the 3.55 and 3.73's. Go with either one; you'll love the drivability.
