You know the one thing no one has mentioned is the effect this will have on Bob's kids (namely his son). The kid that got fired (possibly) will certainly know why and distribute that info. Bob will certainly get a rep as being stuck up Viper owner and an a** and his son will hear about it.
Bob...
Russ/Ron,
While I do not believe Corsa's claims of 18hp (although it would be nice), I certainly did not expect a loss in HP. Vince at Apex did mention the potential for a water pump propeller problem (which would cause the engine to run hot). I'll keep you posted as to the results of Bill's...
What gives? After having 3" Random Tech HF cats, a 3" Corsa Exhaust, new plugs and Mopar plug wires installed I took my car back to the dyno at Apex Motorsports. Stock, my best run (on the same dyno) showed 419.8 HP and 450.3 Torque. AFTER these mods, my best run was 411 HP (forgot the torque...
Wolf,
I wonder why Ted chose your brake set up over that of StopTech (which I believe he has endorsed in the past). I like the fact that the Wilwood kit has a 6 piston front (I believe StopTech only has 4). And the price certainly isn't bad. I would love to see Ted chime in as to why he went...
Wolf,
How was the peddle feel with the new brakes? Did you notice if you had to press harder on the brake (i.e. closer to the floor) with the new set up?
Thanks,
Will
I was driving back from San Francisco earlier today (6/29) and saw a red SRT-10 on the back of a flat bed tow truck. If I were to guess by the exit, it looked like it was going to a Petaluma dealership.
I caught up to the truck, but couldn't get enough of a look to really critique the styling...
Anyone have any product suggestions for a spark plug upgrade? Anything I should know when it comes to evaluating different products? Do I also need to upgrade the wires as well?
Thanks in advance,
-Will
Thanks for the feedback guys! I called Baer earlier today and found out that they pretty much stopped pushing the PRO+. The EXTREME+ (6 piston) is pretty much what they recommend. The price, however, is pretty high for the 4 wheel upgrade, >6K.
When I mentioned StopTech to the rep his...
Anyone have any experience with the Baer brake system? I know that the Viper community has endorsed StopTech for the last 1.5 years, however, I have heard good things about Baer. They have been around for a while and supposedly make systems that will fit the Viper. They have a number of...
Thanks for the opinion Marc! I plan on adding the exact same mods to my car over this summer, so I found your post helpful. BTW, did you dyno your car afterwards? Any idea on the HP gain?

The issue with a two car garage is that it is usually not deep enough to accomodate a lift. I, myself, have 3 cars and a 2 car garage (daily driver is parked in driveway). PLENTY of ceiling space, however, I think the garage door (when open) will interfere with the operation of the lift. Best...
Hmm, of all the posts within this thread, I think that the one posted by Intelman34 is perhaps the most intelligent (and he claims to be only 17).
Some of you "old farts" (as someone else put it) have forgotten what it means to be a teenager. Even in our "advanced age" we do have the same...
All I can say is that when I do my exhaust/header mods I plan on going with the Corsa 3" and the Belanger headers (have not decided on highflow cat manufacturer yet). Based on all my research the Belanger headers seem to be the best "fitting" for the Viper. Additionally, I was informed that all...
For those of you who live outside of the Nor Cal region, Apex Motorsports in Santa Clara, CA was gracious enough to host a Dyno Day for the Viper community on 9/23. While I am not one to publicly express my enthusiasm over an event, I have to admit that Wayne and Bill at Apex threw one hell of a...
What's with all this cream puff stuff? I just dynoed my '00 GTS yesterday at Apex Motorsports and achieved 419.8 HP and 450.3 Torque. Only mods are K&N filter and smooth tubes. Personally, I think those are pretty respectable numbers.
I will, however, admit that things in my engine seemed to...
Hmmmm, one step, easy maintenance, higher shine... I wonder what Sal would have to say about this product? BTW what's this debate over wax vs non-wax and "paint breathability"?

This is a great topic to discuss. I am considering doing some upgrades pretty soon and am wondering whether to just remove the cats altogether or replace them with high flow cats when I do the header/exhaust upgrade. Aside from destroying the environment and the check engine light (which Apex...
