Can I drive GTS with side sills off

They guys that put on my cats last weekend did
a really crappy job. At one point they got the
torch a little to close to the body and the seam
has separated a small bit.

I want to take this to a shop and have corrected,
but I'd rather leave the sills at home. Can I
drive the car about 10 miles with the sills off?

It has been done before. Just be careful when you step out of the car or you will end up with a crispy calf.

I don't think I would have let them near the car with a torch.Whe didn't they mig weld? Bruce

I wouldn't worry about it. I drove the GTS sill-less when I had the side sills repainted. Just watch your legs and don't wear shorts.

The did weld, problem was they used a torch
to heat the joint where the cat and muffer
connected.

In heading the joint, the plastic above it
got too hot and a seam appeared where the
two pieces join.
