Re: Are gen1 & 2 diff\'s the same? Anyone have one?
yes they are, the Gen II's have a vent, that's basically the only difference.
I'm swapping diffs in my car right now and will be selling the stock one soon. shoot me a PM if you are interested.
I'm in the process of swapping diffs on my car. I completely removed both half-shafts to make accessing the tight rear frame area easier. When I was removing them it was difficult to compress them. Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't they expand and contract easily or are they solid? The...
part of it is our age Chad. there are plenty of people in the world that just can't imagine a 20-something year old has more money and a better career than they do.
another part is a lot of car dealers are retarded, and the final part is there are enough stupid people to believe what some...
...says the guy with a "turbo caravan"??? [*****] is that? I don't think replacing ugly stock wheels is equivalent to spinners.
my input, stop selling all your cars and move out of Norfolk.
yes they will bolt up, yes its changes the gear ratio (I have the GenIII tire size on my rear), the larger tire look much better, I can't believe others don't do it, speedo cal box costs $145 from Roe.
pulled the battery and confirmed it was dead (~ 2 volts without a load). went to AutoZone and bought a new Duralast Gold battery for $80.55 including tax and installed it. car is working fine.
I was wrong, the interior light was on. apparently when the white side of the switch with the light...
thanks for the info guys. I'm going to pull the battery this morning. I tested the voltage at the posts in the front and got almost nothing (just a slight voltage). I'll test the battery again when its off the car before I replace it.
I definitely didn't leave the alarm on. Interior light...
(yes I searched, but I didn't find anything useful)
drove my car three days ago with no issues and the battery voltage was fine. when I tried to start it earlier today I found it was completely dead. no dings or fuel pump priming, nothing. I couldn't find anything left on, so I'm not sure...
I just don't buy into the whole "only made 100" BS. Its an arbitrary number.
This is the one thing worse in the VIPER community than the Vette, the whole my car is special because they made less of my color.
I don't think the GTS-R is ricey.
Now, the additional cost for a Comp Coupe is...
I think the world is coming to an end when people think a normal VIPER with a wing, different paint, a slight tweak to the engine, and some other small changes is worth so much more than a regular VIPER.
very easy, just be careful not to handle the plastic dash roughly or it could be broken. that's it, just look at the old posts, there's plenty of info and the difference is amazing.
345/30-19 PS2\'s (the \'08 VIPER has PS2\'s)
I was reading one of the many articles on the 2008 VIPER and the article said the PS2 was the new mount. Does this mean Michelin will be making a PS2 in the 345/30-19 size rear (that's the GenIII size)???
