    Are the Hood Speaker Grills different on the Gen I and II?

    true, if you don't have the knob turned toward the right, or the heater/defrost side, no heat will come out. also, its not uncommon for the temperature knob cable to become disconnected from the heater valve (looks like the picture below, located on the right rear of the engine compartment)...
