Nowhere does Chuck say he doesn't like ABS - he just uses your argument that if F1 uses TC, and they are "the best drivers in the world" then we ought to have it on the Viper to ask if you're gonna be leading the charge to remove ABS...
Team Viper has said that the Viper already comes with TC -...
Camfab - oops - sorry - you are right - I was thinking that you paid to have it removed (about $10K for the ACR package) and then paid again to have it added back in!
No ACRs came with the baffled pan. It was a sore spot with some owners as it was specified in the brochure. Only options - were adding the comfort group BACK in for a measly $10K and stripes.
Your 999/998 recall was done incorrectly.
Think logically.... it strengthen the frame horn, WHY rivet the plate where the frame was already reinforaced by triangluation??? The triangle pieces are suposed to be IN FRONT of the cross member....
Your recall dealer screwed up royally.....
Either...
I suspect that K&N is manufactured by Champion Labs - same place they make the Mobil 1 filter - but it is slightly different - if for no other reason than having the nut on the end for easier removal and the ability to safety wire it on.
I wouldn't pass any sort of tension bar mount. The weight of our camera and the vibration would unseat that thing in a heartbeat.
You MIGHT consider using some bandclamps or HUGE cable ties and try to mount it to the top of the passenger's seat. Use the cutout in the seat where the harnesses...
Our first race car had an Accusump. It was built to run tracks like Daytona - in fact it practiced there for the 24 hours. It ran Motorola Cup and then we ran 2 seasons of Viper Days.
It had a baffled pan and upgraded gauges.
Oil pressure was never an issue.
While the accusump was not...
Bravo!
IMO - if you are hitting the skip shift in slow moving traffic - you are lugging the engine in 4th and not being particularly kind to your car. What's wrong with keeping the car in first????
Sorry, Lee - gotta disagree with you here. With Bob Lutz at GM, DC knew that there would be a concerted effort to beat Viper - if for nothing else - as a direct "screw you" for forcing his retirement - as he obviously had a few more good years left in him. ;) I also happen to know that Mr...
having had a Viper frame repaired on the race car - quickly, easily and back as good as new - I DO NOT WANT AN ALUMINUM FRAME.
We'll see what happens to the first Z06 that's in a fender bender (cracker??) and needs a new frame because so few body shops want to deal with an aluminum frame...
Anytime you receive something THAT FREAKING VAGUE, and THAT POORLY WRITTEN - it's a scam.
If the scammers ever learn to communicate worth a crap - they might just be more successful.... Jeez...
And it comes with all sorts of other potential weirdness- like cutting out the engine if you do a little left foot braking, not letting you "blip" the throttle like you want when downshifting, etc.
Good one!
Re: Carolinas Region Events - October / November - Don\'t Miss These!
OK - I'll take this loss - since my car had tire issues - but I WON'T take the one 2 years ago - my timed runs - DURING THE COMPETITION - were faster than yours. What you did after the competition was over, i.e. no pressure...
Linky no worky in each of the three identical posts -
PLEASE provide pics of this tragic accident and then maybe we can all learn from the median incident.
Thank you.
With regard to the rstreet racing deaths...
There were varying degrees of poor judgement - and now, each street racing participant is being charged based on just how bad their judgement was, i.e. the Viper driver (you would hope the "smarter" of the 2) is charged with a lesser offense.
HOWEVER...
Seems the Corvette guys are having problems tracking their C6s. (No word yet if this happens with the Z06)
Apparently, if you use a set of track wheels that do not have the tire pressure sensors installed (and they are expensive and unnecessary on a track wheel), the car thinks you have a...
