    Thank you Jon B/Partsrack

I am guessing he didn't send the care package on a Monday. :D All joking aside - I sure hope that your health problems fade quickly and this week's checkup brings good news. It's very special to know that someone that I value as a friend did this for you. He's a good egg and I am proud to...

My Acr Was Totaled Last Night!

Um, no. Yes on the springs, but no on the random bouncing off the pavement. Stiff springs / shock settings make any driver input more "immediate" and less forgiving when someone overcorrects. A stiff car usually "handles" better, but on the hands of an experienced driver - thus the whole...

Shameless plug for nonprofit activity - NOVA, MD, etc.

Thanks, Mary! We're going to be at a hotel in the afternoon - perhaps that would be fun. I'll give Lee a buzz. We're trying on the website - but I really need to get ahold of "you-know-who" and get that thing looking better! Onward and upward..... Janni

Shameless plug for nonprofit activity - NOVA, MD, etc.

Thanks for your support. As a rescue, seeing the hundreds of purebred dogs come through our program - the absolute last thing in the world we encourage anyone to do is to go breed more. While there are good breeders out there - that do genetic research, produce champions, only breed when they...

Shameless plug for nonprofit activity - NOVA, MD, etc.

As some of you may know, in addition to my Viper fanaticism, I am also involved with dog rescue - Cocker Spaniels, specifically. My group - Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is located in Maryland. (www.cockeradoptions.org) October is our annual fundraiser for the Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center...

Where is the magazine spread and test drive of the 2008?

There was a HUGE driveaway event this past week at Virginia International Raceway..... 2008's were there and tested on track then handed over to the media for the rest of the week. I saw the snakeskin green convertible leaving the track (thanks for hanging out so we could see it at Viper Days...

is Red line power steering fluid ok to use in gen 3 ??

Thank you for the complete and thorough assessment of the situation. I learned a little about ATF+4 - it's a pure synthetic, with better lubricating properties, higher heat resistance and resists cavitation. ATF+4 WAS a Chrysler proprietary formula and they license it to others. Couldn't...

is Red line power steering fluid ok to use in gen 3 ??

Per Redline's site - it is safe to use where the manufacturer calls for ATF Synthetic Power Steering Fluid TECHNICAL DATA RED LINE POWER STEERING FLUID satisfies the requirements of most power steering units, while providing 50% greater operating viscosity, 1/5 the evaporation of petroleum...

is Red line power steering fluid ok to use in gen 3 ??

I am gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here because you don't have a comp coupe sitting in your basement. HOWEVER the comp coupe most certainly DOES have a hydraulic fan motor. The reason the comp coupe is competitively priced is that it utilizes a TON of stock parts - engine, cooling...

If you are a VCA Member...

Is your car made of sugar or something? And - it's reasonable to want to have VIPERS at a VIPER event for a VIPER corral - we wouldn't want those Corvette guys to think we were wussies, would we?

Too darn ironic not to quote.

Red Line Power Steering Fluid, how to do, where to get ?

After having a leak in this setup - disconnecting it isn't worth it, IMO. The connectors are NOT user friendly. Been flushing the comp coupe this way for 3 seasons now - never broken the lines loose..... I am a firm believer in "if it's not leaking, don't break it open unless you have to".......

Brambo brakes and dead pedal 08

Brembo has been the brake supplier for the Viper forever. It's possible that they calipers are now labeled "Brembo" instead of Viper to take advantage of Brembo's performance reputation. As fas as I know the brake system remains the same as the Gen III. (Why mess with success - it's a...

    Prayers for Gary....

Great news. I'll try to catch up with you both over the weekend. SOOOOO happy he's out of the hospital. Of course, as you mentioned, now comes the challenging part of keeping him on the straight and narrow path to recovery. Hang in there and try to take some time and get some real rest...

    Viper listed in Classifieds -

The yellow car looks great and Chuck is a VERY dependable person. I would have no issues with this car - AT ALL.

Does any one have a photo of the new comp coupe BBS rims

If you are talking about the one piece magnesium wheels (not the three piece stock comp coupe wheels) they are about $1500 each, fragile as all get out, and available through Viper Race Headquarters.

    Replacing Lower Ball Joint

Thanks - although $600 for an entire corner of a car's suspension for $600 is a killer deal, too - I'd probably get both. :rolaugh:

    Replacing Lower Ball Joint

You'll have to press that ball joint out and then press in a new one. It's a B1TCH. We have the special tools for this I think - or - you can try taking it to a machine shop for the removal, and then we've put the ball joint int the freezer and the control arm in the oven at about 300 and...
