I am another believer in the Griot's products. I have used lots of different products such as Souveran paste wax and Pinnacle products but like Griot's better.
I have learned how to use their orbital polisher and the #3 and #4 polishes. They are extremely fine and if you use them per the...
Thanks to everyone that put the party together. It was my first Washington Viper Club holiday party and it was a bunch of fun. The place was very nice, the food was excellent, and the white elephant gift exchange was extremely entertaining.
Keep up the good work.
To The Amigo. Glad it wasn't your car. I didn't think you would be out on Friday with all the rain pouring down. I was out Thursday when it was dry, but even though I use mine as a daily driver, the term daily doesn't mean pouring down rain.
I found an article showing what appears to be a red Gen III Viper roadster which collided headon with a schoolbus in Snohomish county, north of Seattle. The airbags deployed and the occupant was taken to a local hospital. The car looks to be in bad shape. I hope the driver is OK.
Does anyone...
I noticed on the party announcement that there would be a white elephant gift exchange. Is it a real white elephant which can be whimsical, or is it a useful item?
Hope to see you all there.
I just finished buying 2 tickets and it worked perfectly. If anyone is going to have trouble with these dang newfangled computers it usually is me.
See you there.
As the radio commentator Paul Harvey said "Here is the rest of the story" (of the infamous two tone Viper). I enjoyed the comments from the Viper world and I was able to have some fun with my red top on my black RT-10. It was called the "red-headed stepchild" resulting from a black and a red...
The address they give is 7525 166th Ave, Redmond, Wa. I did a yahoo map to get my directions. It appears to be an area in downtown with lots of stores etc. Hope to see you there.
I hope that I see you there. It is supposed to be nice and sunny and it sounds like there a lot of neat places around Redmond Town square. I had better drive at the back of the convoy, especially if the red and black hybrid color red headed stepchild is indeed faster than the monotone cars...
I think there was a red headed milkman in our garage. This may be the one and only appearance of the red topped Gen II Viper. I am actually going to paint it black this winter, but I can't stand to do paintwork while the weather is nice.
Actually it will even up the 2 reds and the 2 black...
Was thinking that if we left Gig Harbor around 8:00 or so we would get there around 9:00. I am open to other times. It looks like it will bew a nice day.
We can meet up with others on the way if anyone else is going.
I can send you a PM with my phone and cell number if you like.
If the weather cooperates next Saturday (the 10th) I am planning to drive over Redmond Town Center to check out the cars. Any other Seattle area Vipers planning to go?
I recently answered a Craig's list ad for a 3 piece hardtop for my Black 1999 Viper RT-10. When I went to check it out the top was exactly as described and included the carrying cases. I picked it up for about 1/3 the new price and have installed it on my Viper. The only drawback with the...
I played around with the videos today and after I downloaded vlc media player I was able to get the videos to run with sound etc. What a great setup. I can spend time previewing the tracks before I show up and hopefully learn them a lot faster.
Keep up the hard work. You have a great idea. I...
Great Idea for people like me that want to check out some of the tracks and events ahead of time.
I was able to easily watch the You tube videos, but the other ones which directed me to Dix were more difficult. I wound up downloading it to My Videos and then playing it. Unfortunately I am not...
I had worn out my rear tires and they had been sitting around collecting dust. I have a friend who likes Vipers and the huge tires on them. I took a disc grinder and a Sawzall and went to work cutting out a section of the tire. I built a simple wood frame and attached the tire. I took a 1:24...
I met a guy named Steve Wood at one of the Gig Harbor car shows and he had just gotten a red 2009 SRT-10 coupe. He lives somewhere in Gig Harbor and perhaps it was him.
If it was early in the morning it was my black RT-10 which was being driven by a friend going to the car show in Port Orchard. I drve the 1964 Galaxie convertible there from home. Was it a black one?? Rich
I really am hooked on the open air when driving my Gen II RT. There is nothing like it on a dry day. However, I have always been blown away by the perfect lines of the GTS. I am thinking the only logical solution for me is to get a GTS too while the prices are decent.
I was able to buy mine from an online company called "Autogeek" It isn't cheap but is very nice. I use Griots Garage brand carnuba also and it is great as are all their polishes and waxes.
It looks like you did a great job with your "color sanding". I remember the first time I took the 1000 and 1500 grit paper to my paintwork. You wonder whether it will really do the job. I did my black Viper and it came out great. Skill with the buffer and polish work finishes it up and it is...
I have heard a lot about the power steering pulley and I guess it is time for me to get the replacement pulley and bracket and install it. I would be glad to help with the work if it would be OK. I had to change out the belt tensioner up at Johnstone Ridge on St. Helens last summer, so Iam able...
