A big thanks, but also a goodbye...

Sorry about your Viper! Hope you're ok :) Good luck on your search for the ACR. No reason not to spend time on the GenI/II forum. See you around :2tu:

F/S: Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs (4428)

Just for folks who don't know, the Bosch +4 plugs don't work very well with Vipers. They might last longer, but you're engine will probably be down on power and not run as smooth. GLWS, but it might be better to just post these on craigslist and sell them there.

    1994 Viper RT/10 convertible

Guys, maybe you haven't noticed, but that's a Canadian snake. It's CDN $43k. Prices up here are not what you're used to in the US...which is why a lot of us go across the border to buy vehicles. That price is not completely unreasonable :)

not feeling real good about my 01 RT/10

Well, if you bought a BMW 7 series or Merc S class back in 2001, they would have cost about the same as a Viper. Now they are literally worth nothing. Viper should hold its value pretty well, so don't worry about it. Enjoy it, drive it :)

    Flitz polish safe on wheels??

Just use regular paint polish as you would with the rest of the car if you want to bring some shine back...meguiar ultimate polish is a great product. Just make sure you use a microfibre towel and don't let it dry up when polishing.

How-To Request: Removing Sides to Expose Exhaust

No need for you to raise the Viper...just leave it on the ground. Use a soft mat to place the side sills on. You don't want to scratch the paint :)

How-To Request: Removing Sides to Expose Exhaust

When you retighten the screws, make sure you don't overtwist them...they are only metal screws, not bolts. There are a few under the door sill, so you have to pop off the plastic caps once the door is open. There are a few up front, so you need to open the hood as well - and there are a few down...

    Engine Start

I believe there is a safety fuel pump cut-off after one second when turning the ignition without starting the car, so leaving the ignition "on" won't make a huge difference trying to pressurize the system.

    Survey - '02 RT/10 or '13 SRT?

Well, obviously the genV will be a much more refined car. If you want modern tech, I say go for it. I'm sure the '13 will be fantastic!

Finally got around to detailing the TA.

What a fantastic beast!!!! I like how the chair is positioned right infront of the snake...best view :)

Hello from New Owner! - 1997 B/W Viper

...watch out if they are clearcoated....don't use anything too aggressive to clean them - just some regular paint polish will work best once they are clean of brake dust. I always wax my wheels along with the rest of the car - that way the dirt doesn't stick.

    Engine Start

Well, start with the easy stuff, like cleaning TB and IAC, checking spark plugs... But it almost sounds like the check valve isn't maintaining the fuel pressure after it has been sitting for a while, and it will take a few tries for the pressure to build back up. Not sure which MY you have, but...

Hello from New Owner! - 1997 B/W Viper

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the beauty! Lots of questions, most of which you will find answers for here. Lots of great and knowledgeable owners here :) For the exhaust, you can also opt for a high flow cat setup with resonators or straight pipes....the high flow cats offer very little...
