    rock, paper, oil pan...

    really strange you can break the oil pan and not smack the fascia first. The fascia should have a hole out of it or a mark of some kind. Is the oil pan lower than the fascia?

    I think the 1 - 10 comparison relates to sophistication, or as the article states, "sissified", and not their looks or performance. No way either Viper looks inferior to the Vette.

    Since I am about number 1499 out of the first 1500 made, with the continued delays mine might arrive about 3 months after the 04s come out. But, I am very excited about the new car and will try to calmly wait until it is right, and know Dodge will do it right.

    MOTOR TREND TV SRT VS. Z06 ON 10/7!!!!

    I was really encouraged by the show. Thought the SRT looked so much better than the Vet. If they just solve that pesky heat problem a little. Must say, that portly fella driving the SRT looked like he was shoehorned into a carnival ride.

    Just received my C&D. It was funny but somewhat disheartening. Bump steer, hot sidesills, rough ride, rattles everywhere, performance not what we envisioned, industrial shifter, Corvette half as hard to drive, etc. Waited 2 years to hear this, plus reports from Automible look very similar...

    Wow. You really had to look hard to find those numbers. From 97 even. Just got a C&D and the numbers in the back of the mag show the 2/01 ACR at 4.3 and 12.6. Maybe it's the creampuff factor.

    The rep is right. However, I did it myself and it was a real chore, but I practiced by ruining the 3M stuff first, then did the Utah stuff on one Viper (turned out fairly well) then did it again on my second Viper (turned out much better). Practice makes perfect! I WILL use the Utah stuff on...

    You might consider this clear bra --http://www.clearbra.net/home2.html. It is a little thicker and goes on smoother than the 3M stuff, without as many dimples,etc. I've tried both and this material from Utah is much better, in my opinion.

    Nov Car&Driver SRT road test... what did you think?

    I tried to especially listen to the exhaust. It sounded less UPS truck-like, and had a deeper rumble, similar to a V-8, in my opinion. It was fairly quiet (EPA probably), but was very pleasant to my ears. Since Dodge has to meet sound restrictions, I think they did a good job in the rumble...
