vinny2, Had this same problem on my '09 coupe (guess it wasn't 'special' to the '08 cars). Car had 500 miles. Anyway the lightning bolt is for the electronic throttle bodies (don't you just love them). 1st- Had the ETB re-calibrated. picked up the car...good for another 500 miles. Then...
Honestly, right now anything is better than the all black interior.
I am getting tired of mine (both cars have them) and am thinking of installing a two-tone.
Jeff, I've been toying with this idea for months. Want a better/louder sound but not intrusive. Brian recommended his set-up and another member recommended corsa+cats(which he was gracious enough to give me a ride in his car). This set-up sounded awesome. But after my issues with the ETB CEL I...
Talking from experience DO NOT get a vert if you want to track it unless you go the full 10 yards , soup to nuts, and make it legal (roll cage, 5 pt harness etc). My opinion is to get an '06 coupe (you can find them in the low-mid 40's) and mod it. BTW any Viper looks exotic and will turn heads!
Looking for a picture on a '06-'10 coupe with just the rear diffuser area painted black without the stripes. I know this area is painted black when the stripes are added and left body colored with no stripes. Thanks
Wish I could take credit but with launch control it is a no brainer.
On that run believe the 60' was 1.93..was in October...would have to go fishing for the slip, will try to find. Sorry no vid. Here are some pics
Twister, I have managed a couple 11 sec runs but it is much more difficult. Especially the 60' time.
The 911 (with launch control ) lays down consistant 1.8-1.9 60' with no wheel spin).
Yes it does. Bone stock.(but traps only 114-115mph) I am going to drop in BMC hi flo filters and primary muffler bypass and hopefully 11.9. It is the 'S' model.
Very predictable and reproducable numbers with the PDK transmission and launch control. But not half as fun draggin' the Viper!
Great runs! I LOVE the fact our Vipers are basic and bad to the bone...but....the newer trannys in some cars make all the difference. I was running my 2009 911 Carrera S at the track last fall and it was running 12.2's all day long stock...with a lousy 385hp...wanna know why....the PDK tranny...
Think they should just tweak existing car...much like Porsche did with the 911 over the years and now Chevy with the Vette. The Viper should retain most of its DNA and just improve on it.
