My SRT-C (Coupe) 1st At The Track..and 1st Cop-Stop!?
I actually think that Jon is STILL comparing the SRT-C to the GTS - as those are the 2 cars that he has the most experience with. The lap time comments are DEFINITELY compared against his GTS "pacecar". I believe that his reference to the SRT-10 convertible was an aside and that his limited...- Janni

VRL - Viper Days Finals Report from the Cones
Sorry for the delay - even though we got back yesterday (Tom Sessions was driving for us) we've just been too tired to post. The weekend started off a bit funny when we realized that the distance from DFW to College Station was not the 120 miles in the Finals packet, but 210 miles.... so the...- Janni

My SRT-C (Coupe) 1st At The Track..and 1st Cop-Stop!?
Herb Helbig said one of the biggest (best) changes in the SRT was the braking performance and that was 2 fold - better brakes - but mostly the SRT suspension was freed up a lot from the GTS. I'll have to agree - as I felt the SRT stayed planted a ton better than my GTS - in aggressive driving /...- Janni

Heading for Texas...... Viper Days Finals
We decided to have Tom Sessions drive our truck and trailer out to Texas due to a potential work travel conflict (that didn't happen...) so we're still home - packing our stuff, getting the dogs ready, etc. Should have a full report Monday afternoon... Why does DC choose not to install traction
I must be one of these "Vipernecks" that you so eloquently phrased - but I happen to have a Competition Coupe sitting downstairs that sees more track time that I suspect your 2005 does - as did our 1996s and 1998 Gen II's.... and we're pretty happy to NOT have the electronic TC. So - we don't...- Janni

Re: ABS ABS was added to the car because it decreased lap times. Engineers put ABS on a Viper for Herb Helbig to test - and some have been under the impression that a good threshold braker would beat ABS - Herb then put down immediately some faster lap times. Brembo is making a rotor for the World Challenge Comp Coupes. It's a 2 piece rotor with a great slot design. Probably gross overkill for any poser mod, but so is anyhting other than stock on an SRT - we continually abuse the ever living daylights out of stock rotors with the Comp Coupe and...- Janni

Conversation about Brakes - & Tires
Hmmm.... We "solved" the rear brake instability by adding a fuzz more rear toe - 5/32" and are running little rear camber in order to place more tire on the ground during straight line braking. Our tire temps have been within 10-15 degrees across the tire, so that tells me we're getting good...- Janni
