Considering Viper - any suggestions?

The Viper is going thought continuous mid-production, running changes. Newer cars have improvements over older cars of the same year. The 1996 and newer cars are a safe bet.

For all those that said the new Viper looks like a Camaro.....

I like the gray. The 03 has grown on me. I have to agree with GTS Dean. The "gill vent" is upsidedown.

    Value of Transmission Core?

I was shown a leak. Only 8000 miles. I'm suspicious. It could be that, when the tech installed this replacement transmission, he didn't fully fill it and it overheated and caused the leak. The trans was NAStyCAR noisy. I could hear the synros spool up and lots of gear whine. The...

    Negative Tuner Experiences

I'll try this again. First post deleted. You will find the things from SVS & Sean Roe, in fact most tuners, to be of outstanding quality. Always better than the take-off parts.

Want to give some kudos to Sean Roe!

Hook the "fan on" switch to the mystery switch. We will save money and will not change the appearance of the car. Shoot, that means Sean will have to inventory 6 fan kits. Old GTS kit, old RT kit, new GTS kit with fan on switch using mystery, new RT kit with fan on...

    Need Transmission parts

Yes, the first replacement was warranty for bent shift fork. Not sure of replacement date but it would only take a phone call to find out. Have a friend that shopped for a Viper trans 18 months ago to find a "NEW" one at $2300. ("NEW", to some, means fully remanufactured and updated...

    Need Transmission parts

Why? I mean, why can't I get internal parts? Why did the price of the trans jump from $2300 to $5000 within the last 18 months?

    Need Transmission parts

Apparently my replacement transmission has been loosing fluid. It now needs an input shaft, counter shaft cluster, and third gear. Any Ideas? Does the gear ratio of the Camaro/Firebird match the Viper?

    Name that part

JonB could be typing for weeks. Gen1 control arms from a Dakota. Gen2 are specifically engineered for the Viper.

    ARROW REBUILD EFFECT RESALE VALUE?

Give it three years. The conversation between GEN1 owners may sound like this, "Nice car! How may miles? Who replaced your sleeves and gaskets -OR- Who did your rebuild?" This is what we may be coming to. If the problem becomes prevalent then Arrow will be the higher resale value. If I...

Does anybody have an Idea what an upgrade on a 94 would do to traction?

Upgrade your alignment and tighten-up all lose knuts. Drive smart and you'll be o'kay. That is what makes driving a Viper fun.

    warranty trans for a 94 ?

Are you the original owner? Does your trans and VIN# match? It could be that your trans was replaced by the previous owner then beat up a second time before being sold to you.

    Gen 1 question

The combustion of one gallon of gasoline produces sixteen gallons of water, mostly in vapor. I'm guessing that the crack in the cat might draw in cool air, allowing more vapor to condensate and less effective function the the catalytic substrate. With all the tuners around this board, a...
