Yes...I will drive the car some more then have the oil rechecked for trash. Not sure I trust the Viper tech. He might just want the warranty money to pull the engine etc... These are tough time for everybody.
Kind of frustrating that many are only talking about a drag race, cuz as far as I know the car can actually turn a corner or two. Now that is the racing I am talking about Paxton will heat soak.
If that (a single drag race) is what we are talking about then the paxton car will win. Easy math...
:omg: I just had the oil changed in my 2008 ACR. Car had 880 miles on it and the oil was quite a mess, place that changed it says it had little metal shavings in it. The dealer I took it too after that said they could change the oil again and see what was in it. The Viper tech made me second...
Remember...it didn't say these cars were going out of production, it says they are not going to research improving them anymore. That means any and all could be axed at a time in which their sales being to slow (G8 GXP is high on the list for the axe...they just aren't selling). With the current...
Yes there is an available warranty, one for Paxton parts, and another one for engine I think. The kicker here is, if a NA stock engine fails, then the same engine with FI is going to fail much sooner. Any weak link will surface much sooner. I am sure there are tons of people on this forum with...
I disagree on flat black going away, but I do agree it is truly a plain in the arse to maintain. I had white stripes painted on my Ram SRT and had them blended and cleared into the exisiting paint.
Heat soak and reliability are definitely factors in FI cars when the car was not designed to displace the extra heat. I know my Gen 3 with the current hood sure puts out the heat. If slapping a supercharger was the answer, SRT (like GM…see ZR1) would have added that to increase horsepower. But...
I thought there was talk about the Venom controller being available for the earlier SRTs. There was also talk about the Mclaren heads and intake being available? Anyone know???
I saw an article today about the viability plan. It said...
The company also said that as part of its restructuring plan, it will reduce production capacity by 100,000 units and cut fixed costs by $700 million in 2009. The company said it will sell $300 million in "non-earning assets" in 2009...
Do you think that the system openning up for orders, is just that...orders only? With the plant still closed and a new buyer looming, are these orders just to tempt a new buyer? Again just a question...or food for thought. Many have said that Dodge will not make an annoucement regarding Viper...
I spend so much time trying to keep my cars perfect that I couldn't imagine leaving them somewhere that could potentially bring them harm from people who don't care (or those who care to bring harm on purpose). I do take them for short trips to odd places, but I always park far away. Even still...
No that doesn't explain it. I had question as to who's car it was etc... I was not in an way shap or form trying to sell a car. On the contrary, it was over priced and we were discussing the inability to repair it since it had serve damage to virtual every body panel (including all ACR...
Yesterday I posted a link to a 2008 ACR that was wrecked but for sale on eBay. A mod deleted my post kind of sited some rules regarding eBay links. Yet I see links to eBay all the time...and they are not owners posting their own link. What is with the censorship when I certainly was not...
Well, mark me down as attending. I have already started bring cars down. We took the Audi RS4 to Harris Hill the other day...it was pretty fun and fast (ran around 1:34) for a four door grocery getter.
Bo even wanted a ride :lmao:in the AWD tire burner. Todd also took Bo in his ACR and he was...
Sorry behind the eight ball here....
The Very Viper Orange is really hard to photograph. Too bad the photos are only in the garage. I need a nice day so I can pull them all outside and photograph them in the sun.
I love my small family of snakes. Do three make me a snake wrangler? :crazy2:
Chrysler sold 127 Vipers in January, which is up 74 percent from a year ago. For the entire year of 2008, they only sold 1,172 Vipers.
It seems the incentives are working but at what cost?
What is the reason for the fire sale of these cars? New ownership? I have heard it over and over from...
