    If you car is going to sit up for extended periods, purchase a trickle charger. It is inexpensive and is a good idea for bikes as well as your fair weathered racer. You also have the option of sleep mode. Start/Settings/Control Panel/Power Options/Hibernate Wait, that can't be right.
