No way would I sell. My car only needs the front braces. This is not a big deal. They are only adding some extra gussets.
Even if I needed the rear differential braces done, I would not sell. D/C is liable if they do work on a Viper and later on the driver losses control due to poor...
Re: \'Can\'t leave the Viper unattended....
I have left my Viper unattended almost everywhere I went for 13k miles. Just last week I parked at a restaurant with my brother and a couple of younger kids... about 19 or so parked next to me in the back of the lot. They were pretty rowdy and seemed...
I have minor mods: exhaust, cats, aibox and K&N's. I just installed the VEC1 and noticed a slightly crispier response down low an a little seat of the pants feel up top. I am very happy with the results.
P.S. I mounted the LED display where the instructions tell you to mount the controller...
I did a dry burnout to get a little heat into the tires. I launched at 2750 RPM letting the clutch
out fairly quick. This gave me a 1.83 60-ft time. I shifted in the middle of the yellow for all of my
shifts.
They said I need a 5 pt. roll cage. I...
Another advantage to a name brand system is they have more resources and $$$ for R&D to engineer the system. They are considering sound, performance, and fit. I would spend the extra money and get a system that is proven. You may be disappointed with the custom setup and spend more re-doing it...

They said I need a 5 pt. roll cage. I don't know if they would let a roll bar slide...
I converted my 99-RT/10 to side-pipe exhaust using the factory Gen-1 sills. I originally used the dynomax mufflers, 3-inch straight through, 6 inches around. They fit fairly tight, but they do fit. (The bead on the end of the muffler touches against the side sill insulation in two small spots.)...
I don't have a roll cage in my Viper and found out this Wednesday that Cecil County Drag Strip enforces it. I ran an 11.917 and they gave me a warning. On my next run they threw me out for running an 11.793 at 120.69 MPH.
Oh well. I'm happy to run that time with STOCK TIRES and minor mods...
That was Doug's Silver GTS with blue stripes that was wrecked. It was hit pretty bad, which is a shame as it was his first time to the track and it was in the 30's out. (Horrible traction.)
I am the owner of the Silver RT/10 and I know which run you are talking about where my back end got...
The allignment is sensitive on a Viper. I had mine alligned and it pulled to one side. I ended up taking it to another place to allign it. I was advised by Chris at Snakepit Racing to take it to a place that has a laser allignment system and has experience with BMW's etc. I took his advice and...
I would like to get a performance meter and was reading about the Race-Tech and the G-Tech and was curious if anyone has tried them and compared them to results at the drag strip?
Yea, it was Doug's first time at the drag strip and unfortuneately it was only 35 degrees out. Doug lost the back end of his Silver GTS shifting into 2nd gear. The back end came around and hit the wall. You don't get sh%t for traction with these tires when they are cold.
I have a 99 Silver...
Which ACR shocks perform better? The Pre 2000 series or the post 2000 series?
I have a 99 RT/10 and I am planning on purchasing the ACR suspension package.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking to improve the handling/control of my 99 RT/10. I was curious what other members have tried. I was considering Roe's upgraded shocks or possibly TNT's but I am open to any suggestions. My application is hard street driving and occasional track. In addition, I would like to try...
I dyno tested the Mopar ECU on my 99 back to back with the factory ECU and the dyno graphs were identical. No increase at all. If you are still interested in trying one I will sell you mine for $200 but I don't recommend it. (Email:[email protected])
Re: Side-pipes on \'96 GTS?
Not an option that I am aware of.
I have a 99 RT/10 that I converted over to a sidepipe car. The factory sidepipe sills bolt right up.
I just moved to Rising Sun MD which is right over the PA line. I recently got a 99 RT/10 and just joined the Viper Club but I have not yet chosen which local club I am going to join. I have not attended any club activites yet but I drive my Viper alot. The country side is beautiful in this area...
The car can not be locked but it has a car alarm. There are aftermarket side curtains which can be locked. I am not sure about removing the stripes (I am not a stripes guy either.) To be safe I would purchase a car without strips. Relatively, There are alot of RT/10's in those years without...
I had a 68 Vette with 69 sidepipes on it. The side pipes on the viper are a little cooler than the 69 sidepipe Vettes Which I am guessing are cooler than the pre 69 sidepipe Vettes. The viper side sheilds have heat sheilds in them which help some.
