    Another advantage to a name brand system is they have more resources and $$$ for R&D to engineer the system. They are considering sound, performance, and fit.     DYNOMAX mufflers, will they fit?

    I converted my 99-RT/10 to side-pipe exhaust using the factory Gen-1 sills. I originally used the dynomax mufflers, 3-inch straight through, 6 inches around. They fit fairly tight, but they do fit. (The bead on the end of the muffler touches against the side sill insulation in two small spots.)...

    Has anyone used the mopar computer??

    I dyno tested the Mopar ECU on my 99 back to back with the factory ECU and the dyno graphs were identical. No increase at all. If you are still interested in trying one I will sell you mine for $200 but I don't recommend it. (Email:[email protected])

    How hot do the side-pipes get?

    I had a 68 Vette with 69 sidepipes on it. The side pipes on the viper are a little cooler than the 69 sidepipe Vettes Which I am guessing are cooler than the pre 69 sidepipe Vettes. The viper side sheilds have heat sheilds in them which help some.
