Re: Enclosed trailer questions 24' Featherlite, securing spare tires, generator locat
I love ATC and heading to go buy my enclosed this week ( third trailer i have bought). 24ft will be fine as long as you think through storage. Generator and compressor are a must for me. AC i plan to add...
I think the coupe rear is truly the best and all Vipers should have come that way. The biggest mistake Dodge made with the vert rear though is the big stupid buick third brake light in the middle. Like was that a total after thought or what?:nono:
However, with a little tuck here and a trim...
Ok so maybe my review was a little harsh:rolaugh: It's a cool splitter and great on street. I found that the right and left would bend and flex too much at high speed on the track. Even have a few photo's of it on the car doing that. However it does look sweet.
I have used both and prefer the X metal for street use but for track the BBK is my only choice. i sold the xmetal after the car went track only. The BBK is smoother on acceleration.
Yea good idea on the rubber isolator, ill do that. The ACRX handbook calls the hose a "Wear" item :-) so i got an extra hose from Jegs to replace when worn. Thanks again for all the help
First a BIG THANKS to STEVE at VIPAIR for all the Carbon!!!!! Next another big THANKS to F8L SNK for the informative and time saving tips!! AWESOME Products and great Help!! Thanks so much GUys!!!
So I thought I would share the Install and photo's of my front end conversion I did. The install...
I looked at that one and man its a big seat. I have the RaceTech seat and it looks like its going to be a big PIA to install and it was made specificaly for the viper.
Does it come with Instructions for the DIY wrencher or is it a bunch of cool go fast parts in a box? I love working on my car (I find it very theraputic) but this might go over my head with no "how too for duimmies book" included :D
Not sure what part of the states you are in but myself and 4 other viper track nuts do a lot of the PCA HPDE events and primarliy at Mid-Ohio and Putnam. I run the open Lapping day at Mid-Ohio nearly every month.
It's easy man. I have mine off right now putting in a breather system from Exotic Engine. Just pull the plug clips and remove the window cowl. Remove bolts and tap the cover and off it come. Seriously, if you can change the oil in a car you can take the Viper covers off in no time.
Let me sum this up... as I am a track rat! Don't consider buying a car a good investment. Consider it fun and your buying a life experience. I'm going to have a full on Roll cage at the end of this year. Not because im racing but because I have seven children and a wife. I want the added safety...
I have used several different kinds. As of now I am loving the Hawks DTC-70 up front and the DTC-60 in the rear. They seem to be fairly kind on rotors..... fairly
Myself and several of my track friends are looking to do it this year. However we have been slow to attain a car and get started on the build. We are going to do it, just a matter of if it's this year or next.
Thanks so much guys! This is a huge help. i will call Tom and order the brackets to get welded in. The seat is awesome but for the outrageous amount of money it dang well better be:2tu:
well for christmas my wife got me the full on race seat from Racetech that is in the ACR-X. i am well aware of how much a PIA the installs can be.What i wanted to know is if Viper Race HQ makes a bracket for the seat or i just need to custom weld the racetech brackets in?Going to email Tom...
i did a full disconnect and bleed so not only the pump but also the fan lines were emptied. i use Redline power steering fluid as recomended by Archer racing.Much better for high heat application like track. a full true bleed is a PIA
