Running the ACR-X has just got to be awesome!! You could make me pit crew member :) Just so long as I could get a run in that beast once or twice! I'm praying my phone rings tomorrow and I become the owner of number 50! If that happens im going to drive the hell out of that car. I want to see...
Canaster pressure should be done with the car in droop lifted . 155 is a good start but Im not sure what that would translate too when the car is on the ground. Also buy Nadars fill kit. Motons should come standard with that.
If this story holds true on the GenIII N/A upgrade I will be buying one as long as it stays under 12K Yea this track rat will be in heaven with that kind of power behind my wheel!!! This just may have changed my Christmas wish list
There is no 305 R6 Hoosier so the jump is 295- 315 if you want a larger front. Options are 275, 295, 315 all in 18" more tire up front would make braking even better but I worry about too much roll on the sidewalls with the 315 but maybe some guys can chime in and give some real world experience?
I have just too much understeer with the 295's and want to try 315's to help balance it some. So 315 have no rubbing issue or sidewall problems then on the 18's up front?
I hear what your saying but the heat doesn't bother me. I never run the A/C and even this year at Mid/Ohio I spent the entire day hot lapping in 110 temps with next to no problem. However I use a cool suit that far surpases anything an A/C system can do especially with the windows down. So for...
Anyone remove the entire A/C before? Wanting to know how big of an ordeal it is to remove? Also how much in weight is saved?
Doing it for weight reduction reasons (track car)
I did the bondurants grand prix and found the nannies on the corvett a royal pia! I would put the car into understeer on purpose coming out of the corner and it would just crap out. Im not a pro but i am a track rat. Nannies will slow you on a track when you get to the piont your pushing the car...
Power Steering is going out on youIMHO. Probably don't hear the whining until the cars water temp gets to 180 or so and the fan kicks on. Then the pump is running the fan and the steering. If it whines when you rev its going to go at some point. Im into my second one now in 4 years. Mine just...
That must be a different model? Thats not what the picture on Rectechs website shows? They have more head support up top than whats in your photo? Maybe there are different models available? Interesting.
Thanks Guys! I was looking at the costs on those Racetech RT4009WHRV! OMG! How on earth can they want that much for a seat? $2200-2500.00 makes me star to like my OEM seat better heheheh! Maybe I can find a used one or something.
So as I get faster around the track and a cage and race seats look more and more likely. I would like to know what Race seats fit in the Viper? Any pointers or suggestions on the subject. I already sit with the seat all back all lowered using my own modification to a 2" seat lowering kit. I do...
Im curious to know how loud and obnoxious it is to run a side exhaust car with basicly straight pipe. Only considering to reduce weight. The Corsa system is a pig but sounds good. I currently run no Cats with Balanger Headers and Corsa. Its loud but not stupid loud. I only track the car.
