Instead of a full face disk, the disk has five petals or branches. High torque trucks commonly have this type of disk. It is also much lighter, therefore, syncs up quicker for shifts.
A suggestion, try the Spec 3 that is petal type construction - that type of construction is made for high torque. In addition, they shift better than a full disc type clutch. On the other hand, 15K on a high hp car is not bad.

It does no good to provide logic, the newbies do not care about the car or the history. I hope the VOA forum has a huge garbage can for hammeresque posts
BTW Henkle and Herb were at the Ohio fall party last weekend. They brought a TA.

That car is a minimum of a 10.5 ET with a 1.6 sec 60' ft time. He was putting down a lot more hp in the 1/8 than your car. With a 1.75 sixty he would have had a 10.8 ET.
Some observations and all objective:
1. All the haters are now together on one thread.
.
2. Most have a limited number of posts.
3. Most do not own a viper, none own a G5.
4. Most have not contributed one positive post on this forum.
5. The same negative rhetoric is repeated, it is like...
You are off course we are not cut from the same cloth, far from it. What do you make of close to fifty posts with zero content, basically all contain negative content. What makes it worse this all comes from a zero knowledge base.
Take a look on both this forum and the G2 forum you will find hundreds of constructive posts from yours truly. I do not see anything from you but 49 posts bitching about a car you will never own.
Read your last 48 posts, if they do not define you as a hater, nothing will. I will take a page from Freud's underpinnings and say that low self esteem drives you to post, through introspection you then believe you will be viewed as all powerful and all knowledgeable. I have looked at your...
Tell me more about your clutch, including the cost. This sounds like a good winter project.
Just to add credence to Nine Ball's experience. I was at the track with the G5 on a day where the DA was 3500. Mile per hour does not lie, it is a true indicator of HP. I have a shift light on the G5...
Did you join this forum just to bitch. If you cannot add something to the viper community why don't you go back to the civic forum. Try to balance your posts, you now have 34 negative posts and you probably don't own a viper or intend to own one. Do you think anyone cares what you say for the...
No dis, however, you and several others are missing what the core of this post is about:
1. All companies lock the ECU, that is not unique to CC, please stop repeating half truths.
2. It was 12 years before SCT brought out the G2/G3 tuner. The Vec2 came out 6 years after the G2 introduction...
I use the SCT on my G2. The reason that software exists is that it works on several different CC platforms, therefore, higher volume. Keep in mind that SCT was and still is slanted toward Ford.
GM is no different than CC, they lock their ECU, it is the aftermarket hacks that broke the codes. I...
The following is an intersting side-by-side comparison of the new and the original. The difference in paint color is hard to see, but, is very obvious to the eye.
You are wrong on several counts. The viper has always been at least a 30% premium over a vette. A friend just bought a Z51, it was over 70K, it is not near the total package my 98k SRT is. The areas where the viper excels (versus the vette) are numerous. Secondly, when the ZO6 and ZR1 come out...
You will never see a tt in a track oriented GM car. For sure the ZO7 will be NA. A large tt has way too much heat sink and associated cooling issues for sustained high hp lapping.
