I looked inside, there is an inner tube, but, after 2" it meets a horizontal tube/runner. Is the reason for the double wall a heat shield affect? Is the exhaust gasket on the G5 the same as the G1 and G2 ?
In the majority of cases, the throttle sync is done on the common throttle bar, leave the butterfly adjustments alone. To sync the TB's, just make sure the drivers side opens slightly before the passenger side/
Personally, I would check the cam timing and then put it back together with T&D's or HS rockers. Make sure you measure the push rod length. When you pull the heads you can also cc the chamber to see if the heads were milled. There is also a casting mark where the depth can indicate if the heads...
As a side note, if you look at the G5 oem headers it is almost like there are no individual tubes. The exhaust runners/tubes off of the heads only run a couple of inches and than enter a common chamber. The point is, they appear to be almost an afterthought.
At 6 ft you definitely need to lower the seat all the way down. The 13's can be lowered another inch by removal of a spacer. I believe the 14's already have the s pacer removed
Neither tape will work on specific plastics that slowly release a mild solvent after put into use. Your dash probably could have used the 3M, #94 primer, it is made for the tape.
We are in sync, I recently bought the Sony DSC-RX100 for a point-an-shoot. You are right, it is hard to believe the tiny Sony camera can take such great pictures. My main camera is a Canon 6D.
Very nice, it is amazing some of the accolades in this thread give you a slightly warm "OK", then quickly slam the car. If you ran a 9.99 someone would find something wrong. I am sure glad all the G2, G3 and G4's were turning 10's six months after they were introduced.
Can you measure the tire diameter, the specs are typically a little skewed.
[TeeQUOTE=Nine Ball;3234117]3.73 rear gear would be perfect for a stock Gen 5 at the drag strip. That would make the effective 1st gear more aggressive than the 2008-10 trans, and would put the car into the sweet spot...
This needs a little clarification. The Gen5 sills run cooler than the previous generations. Unless I missed something the only verifiable case of a heat/paint issue is ViperSmith's car, he has a minor discoloration on the bottom lip of side panel/gil. There have been other discusions, but, no...
No dis, however, at what DA do you want 130. You could take a G5 down to MIR at the end of the season and easily trap over 130. The problem a lot of us have is that we race where the DA never gets below 2500 and typically it is above that.
