The Shelby Club has a 3 day event in August, 5-7. Saturday is already full. I'm signed up for Sunday. If any of you guys plan on attending let me know so we can try to meet up.
it's a bit higher than the stock hoops. I'm 5'7'' and can sit in the stock seat w/o a lowering kit and pass the "broomstick" test. I'd say if you're 5'9'' to 5'10", the 1.0" seat lowering kit would be a good idea. Over 5'10", the 2.0" lowering kit. I have a 2 inch lowering kit in the box...
JonB, of course I have a track allignment...You're the one who gave me the specs when I purchased the PS2s from you. Car handles amazing by the way. Do you have a good tire pressure suggestion, hot & cold, for road racing?
Hey Magnus, that was a very interesting thread on tire pressure, temp and set up. RA is my favorite track in the country mostly because it's in my backyard. I'll be running there in August w/ the Shelby Club, really excited about that.
Do you have any experience with the PS2 tires? If so...
I was going to post some tire wear questions this morning, but someone beat me to the puch. Great thread, and thanks for some of the info already. One question to Shandon...Can you explain how to measure the tire temps across the tire versus the surface temp?
My next question relates to...
There is an event at Road America August 5th, 6th & 7th. It's run through the Shelby Club. I'll be there at least on Saturday. If you need more information let me know.
I don't think those of us who run with the top down would be allowed to use the windshield mount? The marshalls typically want EVERYTHING out of the cockpit. I could be wrong, but as soon as I bought the windshield mount, that would happen to me with my luck.
IMHO I wouldn't touch that car with a ten foot pole...to each their own though. What sort of "newer" corvette are you giving this guy? If it's a C5 I'd just keep it. As long as it's reliable and you enjoy driving it.
I purchased a 2.0" lowering kit this winter and plan on installing soon. My reason for purchase was that while i'm sitting in the current seat with my helmet on, my helmet is barely below my autoform rollbar. In the event of a rollover my helmet could actually hit the ground. I figured...
Nice work Terry!! Seems like your work has paid off. Thanks for keeping the viper ahead of the pack!!!! I hope to see your car in person this summer, will you be at Gingerman July 22-24?
